Name my experiment

I just got an idea for a story about a lab-made boy with all these super human abilities and this kid now needs a name. I’m thinking of having two storylines intertwining, him as a child and him as a young adult so a name that fits well on both a kid and a grown man (as they should in the first place) would be great.
I was thinking something simple like [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] or [name_f]Doe[/name_f] in the beginning but my uncle’s name is [name_m]Jon[/name_m] so it’s sort of awkward.

I didn’t know how ‘nerdy’ (read: scientific) you wanted to be with this, so I went as nerdy as I could get with the given information.

[name_m]Gregor[/name_m] or [name_m]Mendel[/name_m]- [name_m]Gregor[/name_m] [name_m]Mendel[/name_m] was a monk (which is somewhat ironic) who first performed experiments proving genetic inheritance
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]- [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Berg[/name_m] produced the first recombinant DNA
[name_u]Gus[/name_u]- The [name_u]GUS[/name_u] reported system is used in molecular biology
[name_m]Herbert[/name_m] or [name_u]Stanley[/name_u]- [name_m]Herbert[/name_m] [name_m]Boyer[/name_m] and [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] [name_m]Cohen[/name_m] performed the first transfer of DNA from one living organism to another.
[name_m]Williamson[/name_m]- [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Williamson[/name_m] introduced the term ‘genetic engineering’
[name_m]Darwin[/name_m]- should be obvious
[name_m]Dan[/name_m]- anagram for DNA
Sanger- [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] Sanger developed a DNA sequencing method. Bonus points for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] Sanger, historic pro-choice activist, which can tie into themes of lack of bodily autonomy, ones body being used by others for their own purposes, etc.
O, AO, or Agent O- reference to Agent [name_u]Orange[/name_u], the biochemical weapon used in Vietnam that was developed by Monsanto, which now develops GM foods and controls much of the US food supply.
Venter- the J [name_m]Craig[/name_m] Venter Institute created the first synthetic bacterial genome.
[name_u]Campbell[/name_u]- [name_m]Keith[/name_m] [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] was one the the scientists in charge of the [name_f]Dolly[/name_f] the sheep project.

Hopefully that’s enough! Good luck!
