Name of the day (Part 6)

I’d say it’s the other way around, -usia is the typical ending for feminine diminutives in Polish. Also still doesn’t explain where that meaning comes from. To be honest, it sounds like a made up meaning to me. But oh well :slightly_smiling_face:

Well I’m not sure, I’m not polish so I could be wrong for sure, I only have the research that I did. I just really liked the name

Randomly generated from my list, but so pertinent on a day that conjures up hazy visions of trick-or-treating and cold autumn air, yellow-tinted memories of hot apple cider and pouring candies out of pillowcases, the laughter of my friends and cousins still ringing loudly in my ears. Maybe the halcyon days are truly behind us, but they’re definitely days I will cherish forever :orange_heart: [name_f]Happy[/name_f] Halloween to all who celebrate!!

:hibiscus: [name_f]Tulsi[/name_f] :hibiscus:

• origin: Hindi
• meaning: “basil”

• Info (taken from Nameberry): [name_f]Tulsi[/name_f] is more than a simple nature name – the holy basil plant is sacred in the Hindu religion, used to honor the god [name_m]Vishnu[/name_m] and representative of his consort, the goddess [name_f]Tulsi[/name_f]. The [name_f]Tulsi[/name_f] plant is often planted in Hindu houses and is used for medicinal as well as ritualistic purposes.

• NOTE: Don’t really know why, but I’ve been crushing on this name lately. I think I particularly like it because I always seem to be drawn to names that end in “i”.

fun fact [name_f]Samhain[/name_f] doesn’t mean Halloween, it means [name_f]November[/name_f], the word for Halloween is Oíche Shamhna [eee-uh how-nuh] or November’s [name_m]Night[/name_m] / [name_f]November[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f].
