I love the alliteration of [name_f]Marilla[/name_f] [name_m]Merle[/name_m]!
I love the uniqueness of [name_f]Marilla[/name_f] but also like the idea of a cute nickname like “Lou” for a little girl. Both are great!

I would pick [name_f]Marilla[/name_f] [name_f]Merie[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]I prefer [name_f]Luella[/name_f] over [name_f]Louella[/name_f] but would probably still pick [name_f]Marilla[/name_f].
I like Louella but I think Marilla Merle flows better and gives you the nickname Mimi (and others too, but I mean with the two Ms). I find it a little hard to say Louella Merle. Marilla will also stand out more among the many Lu/Lou names.
[name_f]Louella[/name_f] Merle!! I think [name_f]Louella[/name_f] is so pretty: feminine, with a fun, off-beat sound! And [name_f]Marilla[/name_f] [name_m]Merle[/name_m] is a bit of a tongue twister to me.

I love the alliteration and [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_m]Green[/name_m] [name_m]Gables[/name_m] connection with [name_f]Marilla[/name_f] [name_m]Merle[/name_m] (and the nicknames [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] and [name_f]Rilla[/name_f] are super cute!) However, [name_f]Louella[/name_f] [name_m]Merle[/name_m] is also beautiful; it brings to mind images of shining light (with a vintage charm.) The nicknames [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] are adorable!
Both are gorgeous, but today I’m feeling more partial to [name_f]Louella[/name_f]!
Ahh, this is so tricky! I love the literary, bright [name_f]Marilla[/name_f], but [name_f]Louella[/name_f] is charming and gentle too! I think I’m slightly leaning towards [name_f]Marilla[/name_f].

I would pick [name_f]Louella[/name_f] [name_m]Merle[/name_m], but I lean more towards the [name_f]Luella[/name_f] spelling!! [name_f]Lou[/name_f] is such a cute nickname, but you’d also have the option of [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] too.
[name_f]Louella[/name_f] has a very southern/rural flavor to it just FYI so it depends on how you think about that.

There’s pros to both!
[name_f][/name_f]For [name_f]Marilla[/name_f], I like how it is like [name_f]Maria[/name_f] but more unique! I also like [name_f]Mar[/name_f], [name_m]Ari[/name_m], and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as nicknames!
[name_f][/name_f]I like [name_f]Louella[/name_f], but I don’t love the spelling. I’d like the name much better if it was spelled [name_f]Luella[/name_f], but that’s just my opinion. With this name you’d also get fun nicknames like [name_f]Lu[/name_f], [name_f]Lou[/name_f], and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]!
