I’m pretty set on the name Laith/Leith for a boy but torn about the spelling. We are arabic and the arabic spelling is Laith which i do think is spelled more intuitively but for some reason I think Leith just looks better? What do you think? The pronunciation would be like “Layth”

Still considering other arabic baby names if you have other suggestions but i am due any day and my time is running out!!

i think people would pronounce Leith like leeth, since it’s so close to Keith. i’d stick with Laith, for the pronunciation and since it’s the original spelling

[name_m]Laith[/name_m] looks good!!

I would assume [name_u]Leith[/name_u] would be pronounced like [name_m]Keith[/name_m] (leeth) but if I was corrected it wouldn’t be difficult to understand, so if you prefer the look much more I think it’s doable. I prefer [name_m]Laith[/name_m] both because it’s more intuitive and I also prefer the look.

This is a handsome name! I voted [name_m]Laith[/name_m] because I had guessed it would be pronounced [name_m]Layth[/name_m] before reading your post. Like the previous comments, I would read [name_u]Leith[/name_u] as Keith-with-an-L. But now that I think of names like [name_f]Leila[/name_f] and [name_f]Leia[/name_f], I see how it could be [name_m]Layth[/name_m]. I think if you really want an “e” maybe Leyth would be more clear? I’m seeing [name_m]Layth[/name_m] online as another spelling varient.
Very cool name no matter the spelling!

I prefer [name_m]Laith[/name_m], though I also know a [name_m]Leif[/name_m] (pronounced the same way) and I think that’s equally nice (for if you want an e in the name).

However you spell it it’s a wonderful name!
