Name poll

These are my three favorite girl names right now and I would definitely use Abigail in the MN spot. Curious what peoples favorite would be and also keeping in mind would be a possible future sister name to a little Anya

Definitely [name_f]Ines[/name_f]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is cheesy, and the cosmopolitan [name_f]Ines[/name_f] works better with [name_f]Anya[/name_f].

Thank you, I was so set on [name_f]Hope[/name_f] but when I found [name_f]Ines[/name_f] I was just so struck by how well it worked with [name_f]Anya[/name_f] as a set.

I prefer [name_f]Hope[/name_f]. The sound of [name_f]Ines[/name_f] doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe because it reminds me of “nez” (the [name_u]French[/name_u] word for nose).

That’s interesting. I wanted the sound of Ee-nes like Ness more than Ez, but now I’m wondering if that’s the correct pronunciation. I like [name_f]Inès[/name_f] but would [name_f]Ynes[/name_f] maybe be better? It does please me that you like [name_f]Hope[/name_f] since it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and I’m quite fond of it for deep personal reasons of late.

I don’t know if [name_f]Ynes[/name_f] would make things easier. The only thing that would make “Ee-nes” more intuitive to me would be adding another s. But I also think that if you/Ines introduced her pronouncing her name “Ee-nes” people would naturally pronounce it that way, and so it would be fine. Yes, [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is very sweet!
