Name Possibilities if Looking for Nickname "Mo"?

[name]Hi[/name], I had a sad event happen with my first baby and feel pulled to call my second baby “[name]Mo[/name]” as a nickname after the nurse who helped my first baby in the NICU. I’m not sure if my next baby will be a boy or a girl, so if you have ideas for a girl or a boy, I’ll take them all. Basically I’m looking for full names (good ones though!) where the nickname “[name]Mo[/name]” would work or make some sense. [name]Moses[/name] and [name]Margo[/name] are ok ones that come to mind. Other ideas? Thank you!

I really like [name]Ottilie[/name]'s suggestions of [name]Amos[/name], [name]Montgomery[/name], [name]Simon[/name], [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Rosamond[/name]. I only have one to add, my friend in school is named [name]Maura[/name] and is often called [name]Moe[/name], affectionately [name]Nemo[/name] or Momo. [name]Just[/name] thought I’d add. Good luck, I think the nickname idea is so sweet!

wow great ideas. thank you!

I knew a [name]Moriah[/name] nn [name]Mo[/name] (girl). Also you could make the first and middle initial M.O.

I like [name]Moses[/name], [name]Morgan[/name] and [name]Matteo[/name].

I agree with whit32 on picking a combo with M and O initials.

I’ve always adored [name]Jeronimo[/name] nn nimo or mo!!

I love [name]Margo[/name]! I think suggestion of [name]Imogen[/name] is perfect to get [name]Mo[/name] and [name]Mimosa[/name] is adorable for a girl if you want something a bit unusual…I also really like [name]Monet[/name]! [name]Molly[/name] would be a cute option too…or [name]Marigold[/name]…though it might be a little bit of a stretch!

I know a [name]Mackenzie[/name] who goes by [name]Mo[/name]. It sort of works with any M name.

[name]Monica[/name]
[name]Monique[/name]
[name]Moira[/name]
[name]Mona[/name] : know someone with this name, but I believe it was [name]Mona[/name] [name]Lisa[/name]. (not sure if it was a double-barrel, first and middle, or something she grew to accept as a nickname).
[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Mozart[/name] : actually know someone by this name with this nickname.

You can also try (excuse me if I am repeating, just scanned the thread), going with a M first name with an O middle name.

[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] or [name]Marcus[/name] [name]Oliver[/name]…

I really like the suggestion of [name]Amos[/name] for a boy and [name]Molly[/name] or [name]Imogen[/name] or for a girl.

Otherwise (and sorry if these have already been suggested!)

[name]Ramona[/name] (girl)
[name]Roman[/name] (boy)
[name]Morgan[/name] (either)

I like the suggestions of [name]Matteo[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name].

You guys are GOOD. I’m so glad I asked.

I know a [name]Mojave[/name] (male) that goes by [name]Mo[/name] by everyone. I also know a [name]Maureen[/name] (female, obviously) that goes by [name]Mo[/name]. I have really fallen in love with [name]Mojave[/name], but would never be brave enough to use it!

I know two girls with the nicknamed [name]Mo[/name]. Their full names are [name]Moriah[/name] and [name]Morwyn[/name].

[name]Maureen[/name] is the most obvious one for me as it’s a friend of my mother’s name and when we were younger we called her [name]Mo[/name], my best friends son has a stuffed monkey toy names [name]Morris[/name]/[name]Morris[/name] Monkey that they call [name]Mo[/name] [name]Mo[/name]. I know a little boy called [name]Miles[/name] who gets nicknamed [name]Milo[/name] and [name]Mo[/name]

I love [name]Margo[/name], [name]Morgana[/name], [name]Molly[/name], [name]Moria[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name] as suggestions for girls
& for boys I like [name]Montgomery[/name], [name]Matteo[/name], [name]Simon[/name] and I love [name]Solomon[/name]
Names I think could work for both: [name]Morgan[/name], [name]Monroe[/name], [name]Monet[/name]

do you have any middle names in mind? If not and there’s an M name you like or even something like [name]Emily[/name] or [name]Emma[/name] or [name]Emmett[/name] or [name]Emilio[/name] or something you could use an O middle name to get M.O or [name]Em[/name].O

[name]Primrose[/name] could work, it might be a slight stretch but I think it’s a neat idea, I also love the name [name]Morrigan[/name] it could work as a way to get to [name]Mo[/name]
