So here we go again - 30 weeks and no name is set in stone. I really really want to find something I’ll love as much as [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]'s little name but nothing seems to click.
Husband’s been off and on some of our favorites but it’s not surprising because his taste is all over the place.
I’ve made a list of names that are on the table now and another one of names we nixed - it would be great if you ranked our current contenders, commented, picked favorites etc.

We adore nicknames; [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] and [name_f]Mellie[/name_f], [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabby[/name_f] make us happy but we don’t really like names that lead to overdone nicknames ([name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Addie[/name_f], [name_f]Ally[/name_f]). However, at this point, I’m open to pretty much anything you lovelies can think of. Please help this mama out!

My favorites are:
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f], but I won’t personally use because of the game association. Sounds like that upsets you too, so probably not a good choice.
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f]: love this name, love the nicknames. [name_u]Love[/name_u] that it is so uncommon but still sounds familiar.
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]: lovely name. I don’t think sibling names need to be equally rare. [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] may be more common than [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] but it’s still way underused.
[name_f]Althea[/name_f]: I love this name. I admit I hear [name_f]Thea[/name_f] more than I used to, but it’s still far from common. I also love [name_f]Anthea[/name_f]!
[name_f]Anatolia[/name_f]: I’m assuming you’re not interested in [name_f]Ana[/name_f] or [name_f]Lia[/name_f] as nicknames…how [name_f]Nia[/name_f] or [name_f]Tia[/name_f]?
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f]: I go back and forth on this name, some days I like, some I don’t. But I love the nickname [name_f]Minnie[/name_f].

[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] is so cute. My favorites are [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tibby[/name_f] or [name_f]Tabby[/name_f], [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f], and [name_f]Minerva[/name_f]. I don’t think [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] and [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] are too close to [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Melisande[/name_f], [name_f]Morgaine[/name_f], and [name_f]Bathsheba[/name_f] don’t have the same charm as [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] for me–a little too out there.

I also think these are good and go well with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]: [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] (prefer over [name_f]Sybella[/name_f] - too many ella names), [name_f]Morgaine[/name_f], [name_f]Timothea[/name_f], [name_f]Minerva[/name_f].

[name_f]Tabby[/name_f] is great for [name_f]Bathsheba[/name_f]. I love the idea of this name (and long term [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Hardy[/name_m] fan here) but not sure about in real life. Maybe I’m just not very brave! [name_f]Anatolia[/name_f] is interesting and could grow on me. I really like [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ana[/name_f] for nns. I don’t think [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f]/ [name_f]Effie[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] - quite different in fact. I like [name_f]Effie[/name_f] but find [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] hard to say. I don’t find [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] expected at all - not sure why you would think this?

My favorites of your list are [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] nn Sybbie and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tibby[/name_f] (which I don’t think is too plain at all.) I also quite like [name_f]Althea[/name_f] with the sister name, but I think you are correct that [name_f]Thea[/name_f] seems to be rising. Oh, and Guinevere is lovely with the sister name too.

[name_f]Anatolia[/name_f] is so pretty! My other favourites of your list are [name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f]. My dad had an aunt [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] and she went by [name_f]Euphie[/name_f] which I find super cute.

What about [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Anatolia[/name_f]? I quite like that! [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Lana[/name_f], [name_f]Lita[/name_f], [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] (cute on a girl I think!), [name_f]Nola[/name_f], [name_f]Nia[/name_f], [name_m]Natty[/name_m], [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]…[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] & [name_f]Anatolia[/name_f] sound great! I think [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] & [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] sound really smashing together as well, although personally I find there are many, many little lucy’s already filling the playgrounds/schools, so I can’t see the appeal there.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Athenais[/name_f]? Seems like a weighty, smart, intriguing sister name.
What about [name_f]Apolline[/name_f], nn [name_f]Polly[/name_f]?
[name_f]Bathsheba[/name_f] I like but not sure I could choose it in real life…I think I would be impressed if I met a young [name_f]Bathsheba[/name_f] in person, though!

[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] goes by [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] most of the time but we also call her Nellster a lot. As I’ve already mentioned, I’m fond of cute nicknames.

davisellu; Unfortunately, husband dislikes [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] - he likes just [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] the best but it’s not at option. What a great list you’ve got here! I love a lot of your suggestions, especially [name_f]Endellion[/name_f], [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f], Helewise (husband nixed her because he keeps seing “hell”), [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] (too posh for us). Of the names up for consideration, I like [name_f]Melisande[/name_f] (not too frilly in my book), [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] (not at all too plain, and fits with [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] beautifully), [name_f]Yseult[/name_f] (I do prefer [name_f]Iseult[/name_f] myself though as it looks tidier to me and I’m not as fond of the look look of the Y), [name_f]Althea[/name_f] (still uncommon enough not to run into many - I never have), [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] & [name_f]Minerva[/name_f].

You mentioned [name_f]Constance[/name_f] being a family name, if no middle name is picked out, I think [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Constance[/name_f] [name_f]Morgaine[/name_f] would be beautiful. [name_f]Morgaine[/name_f] [name_f]Constance[/name_f] and [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] [name_f]Constance[/name_f] work well too.
