[name_f]Veronica[/name_f]. I’ve loved this name since I was 6-8 years old (not sure exactly when). It’s not currently on my list because I associate this name too much with my old friend I can’t really imagine my future daughter having the same first name. I’ll happily consider it as a middle though.
What is your favourite name from your own list?
For now, I say [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]. It has everything I want in a name. [name_m]Long[/name_m], feminine, romantic , work internationally and has multiple nickname options.
What is your favourite combo from your own list?
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Laetitia[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f]. While I love [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] a lot, my [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] combo kinda makes me happier, I think. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] is just so soft, sweet and angelic. [name_f]Laetitia[/name_f] means happiness. I love its sound and I think this is such an underused gem. [name_f]Odette[/name_f] is so dainty. Together the combo means happy, wealthy bringer of good news, which I love.
A close second would be [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Yvaine[/name_f]. Meaning strength/health, female warrior and evening star. This combo is romantic and badass at the same time, imo.

I have plenty but I mix ‘em up with more familiar names. Scrolling to my own list, I say [name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f] or Gwenllian.

Approximately for 6-7 years and counting.

Definitely [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. I’ve loved [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] since I was nine.
What is the name that holds the strongest personal meaning to you?
Probably [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my favourite flower and birth flower. [name_f]Rosalinda[/name_f] is character in a TV series I spent every evening watching with my mom when I was a kid. And if I ever get married, I definitely want The [name_f]Rose[/name_f] to be on the wedding playlist.
That or maybe [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], which is a variant of my mom’s name.

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]. It looks noticeably shorter than any other names of my girls’ list and I can’t really think of nicknames, but somehow I love it.
Oh and [name_f]Vienna[/name_f]. I don’t usually have obvious place name on my list, but I really love this one as a name.
What is your #1 GP name?
[name_f]Angharad[/name_f]. I’ve adored this name for ages, but can’t really imagine it on my own kid.

Mega_muffin’s [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. Two names I love a lot in one combo.

My first ever name crush was [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], because she was the main in character in a book I was reading when I was about 12. It’s no longer on my list.

What is the most unusual name you’ve had on your list?
I’ve got a lot of unusual names on my list… Some of the Assyrian names (from SO’s heritage) are pretty unusual, like Bardaisan and Ashurdan. I suppose [name_u]Zelig[/name_u] is very unusual too. A lot of the Icelandic names might seem unusual, but most of them are rather common or at least familiar in Iceland.

”srún [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] has been on my list for a very long time, but I can’t remember how long exactly. Definitely before Hjörtur was born, and he’ll be 4 in [name_f]May[/name_f].

Kjartan is name that I keep coming back to, but I’m not sure if I should use it, because it loses so much of its appeal when pronounced incorrectly (and a lot of people would say it wrong). For a girl it’s definitely ”srún.

[name_m]Johannes[/name_m] and [name_m]Johann[/name_m]. It’s a name that has been used in our family for ages, and [name_m]Johann[/name_m] is my dad’s name. [name_m]Johannes[/name_m] was my grandfather’s name. Several other forms have been used in our family as a full name or nickname: [name_u]Jan[/name_u], [name_u]Janne[/name_u], [name_m]Hannes[/name_m], etc.

This is a hard one. I’ve always loved names, all the way back to when I was 4 or 5 years old and one of my very favourite names was [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]! Obviously that one is not still on my list. My taste has evolved over the last few decades.

This is also tough as I love many unusual names. Probably the most unusual name that I would consider using on a child of mine is Zaffre. Most unusual guilty pleasure might be a compund nature name like Daystar or Roseberry.

Soren Vale. I put these together by accident, and now I don’t even consider changing when I want to redo my combos. I just love the softness of Soren (I know it means “stern” but it just sounds so gentle) with the rolling hills image of Vale.

Edelweiss. I think I had it with the nn “Ada”. I still think it’s pretty, though it’s a little out there and definitely not my style.

I loved her so much, I practically worshipped the ground she walked upon, lol! When my younger sister was born, my parents let me pick out a stuffed animal for her so I picked a unicorn which I named [name_u]Aspen[/name_u]. I don’t have her on my list anymore.
What is your favourite name from your own list?
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I’ve loved [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] since I was in 8th grade, and I’ve known for at least 5 years that [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] was going to be the name of my first daughter.

In terms of meaning, definitely [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. My late uncle was named [name_u]Michael[/name_u], and I’ve loved this combo for him since he died in 2016.
In terms of pure love, [name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f]. I love both names separately, and I love them even more together. The combo is strong and unique but flowy and feminine.

There was a little girl in my dance community named [name_u]Parker[/name_u] who passed away due to a brain tumor in [name_u]July[/name_u] 2017. [name_f]Braelyn[/name_f], I don’t know how I found it or heard about it, but I instantly fell in love. I still have a soft spot for it, but its not my style anymore.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] has been my favorite girls names for at least 7 years now. I love the princessy vibe, plus the scientific vibe from the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Borealis. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] has been a newer crush but another one I’ve fallen head over heals for. Its such a strong, beautiful name with some amazing name sakes to it. [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] has been my top boys name for close to 10 years. I love the sound, the imagery of the [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] river, all of it.

[name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. Its truly the most elegant name on my list, but I’m not sure if I’d ever be daring enough to use it on a real child.

I’ve had Keirnan, [name_m]Keir[/name_m] and [name_u]Tiernan[/name_u] on my list for a while, they were too daring for my fiance though.

What is the name that keep coming back on your list or the one you’ll regret not using?
The name I keep coming back to in the last few weeks is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. Though I’ve been struggling if [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] are too close sound wise, and if [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f] makes an odd celestial theme
What is the name that holds the strongest personal meaning to you?
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]. Its been a tradition in my family to name have the first born daughters middle name be [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]. I want to continue that tradition with a twist. [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] is kind of a combo of me and my sisters middles, [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] and [name_u]Jo[/name_u], [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] is just my favorite [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] name. I’ve also thought about Annalyn, which [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is my grandmothers middle.

I tend to change my combos quite a lot as I get bored of them easily, so none of them have been there very long. I’d say either Flora Olivia Pearl or Edmund Thomas Kit, as my favourites tend to stay around a little longer.

Phillipa. I’ve had it in the first and middle spot, it’s changed spelling and it disappears occasionally. I keep coming back to it though as it’s an honour name and I just love it.
What is the name that holds the strongest personal meaning to you?
A lot of my names have personal meaning, so it’s hard to choose which has the strongest! I think I’d probably have to go with Olivia, as it’s a name that’s always stayed in my #1 girl combo. It’s my middle name, as well as my mum’s, both of my sisters’, one of my cousin’s and my auntie’s first name.
What is the name that doesn’t seem like your style, but you love anyway? (if there’s any)
For girls, all of my favourites fit pretty well together. For boys, my style is becoming more and more eclectic so my favourites fit in there too.

Wildflower! I love the way it looks and sounds and the imagery it conjures, but I’d never be brave enough to use it on a real child.

It was probably [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. I still really love the name, but I worry about its similarity to [name_u]Arya[/name_u] [name_m]Stark[/name_m]. It’s on my long list, and I will definitely think about it again when I eventually have kids (probably 7-10 years away). The connection may fade. I love the sound, the look, the meaning and that it shares similarities with my grandmother’s name, [name_f]Carol[/name_f], both being musical.

[name_f]Anna[/name_f] is a name I used to day I would use as a middle name for a daughter, to honour my grandmother and mothers middle name [name_f]Ann[/name_f], but it doesnt have a spark to it anymore. So I’ve also attached that significance to names ending in -ana, like [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] and [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]

I dont really know what my style is, so I dont know. I know I do like longer names (3+ syllables), so [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_u]Eden[/name_u] may seem quite out of place.
