Just popped in to share this: my History teacher got a message from a North American teacher named Elizabeth, and she was nicknamed Izzo. A Brazilian-German little Maya/Maia moved to Germany with her family and her name was getting pronounced as Maja. Demoston “Demo”, a Math teacher at my school (the jokes literally NEVER end).
A Giulia Akemi, Italian & Japanese ancestry.
A Thai-Italian US-born Stella in Brazil, where Estella is the common spelling.
A pretty Violeta and a German-descending Hannah (Ana is the common spelling) going to school alongside a Hani. The names you see on lockers!
