Saw a FB post announcing an Oakleeann [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f]. I’ve heard of Oaklee/y and wouldn’t think twice about an [name_u]Oaklee[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. But I’ve never heard or considered Oakleeann! It’s sort of a mouthful with the middle name IMO but so long as the parents love it, that’s what counts.

Stumbled upon a list of kids who won at this foreign-language competition, and here are the most interesting one (these kids are from Croatia):

Buga (BOO-gah) - according to a legend, this is a name of one of two sisters who, together with their five brothers, lead Croats to the territory where Croatia currently is in the 7h century. It’s a super rare and a super interesting name, and to my knowledge the only of the names from this legend still in use!
