the name [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zane[/name_m] had pretty much been settled on, until someone pointed out to me that it sounds like “you’re insane” when you say it together and now I can’t unhear it. I still like it, but maybe it does sound too much like that? Does that make it off putting? My second choice was [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m].
I hear it. The two names run together making the saying come out loud and clear to me. [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] I like much better.
I do hear it but unsure if I would have noticed if it was not brought up. Well, my son is in the other room so I asked him. I said the name out-loud, did not say anything else about it, he heard it. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zander[/name_m]/[name_m]Xander[/name_m], [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zavier[/name_m]/[name_m]Xavier[/name_m], [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zeke[/name_m], or [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_u]Zion[/name_u].
I don’t hear it. At least not if you pronounce [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Keer[/name_m]-an and [name_m]Zane[/name_m] like it’s written. Yes, the “inzane” part is more noticable but I don’t get the “you’re” at all. And after saying it a few times, even the “inzane” part doesn’t put me off, since it only sort of sounds like insane, the s makes the difference for me.
Yeah it’s more like [name_m]Keer[/name_m]-Insane. I can hear it but what can you do? lol. I would keep it if it’s a name you love, that isn’t something that would really stop me. As a teen or man he might appreciate that kind of nickname.
Honestly, I would never have thought of that.
Hmm I definitely hear it now that you brought it up. I don’t know if I would have heard it otherwise, but possibly. [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] might be better then.
I’ll think about it a little more. [name_m]Zane[/name_m] had been chosen in honor of a relative, so we’ll see. Thanks.
I see where the “insane” part is coming from, but you’re? No, I don’t think this is a valid issue.
I wouldn’t let it deter me if I loved the name, especially since [name_m]Zane[/name_m] is meaningful. I really like the combo!
I agree with others that I hear the “insane” part but not the “you’re” part. Also you wouldn’t be saying his full name all the time so it wouldn’t be an issue especially if you tack on his last name. I’d keep it unless it really bothers you. [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] sounds too much like [name_u]Keenan[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] from [name_u]Keenan[/name_u] and Kel and SNL so I much prefer [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zane[/name_m]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps
I definitely wouldn’t have noticed the “insane” part til you mentioned it. Personally, unless it’s really bothering you and if you really like it, Id go with the original name—besides, unless you live in a community where you are used to usIng both names on a regular basis, how often are you going to be saying [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zane[/name_m]?
I agree with others in that I would not have noticed it had you not mentioned it. And I also agree, it sounds more like [name_m]Keer[/name_m]-Insane. No “you’re”.
[name_m]Keer[/name_m]-Insane is better than you’re insane right? LOL.
I like [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] and I also like pp suggestion of [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] but I’m inclined to suggest that you stick with your original pairing.
No name is perfect in every eye.
I sort of hear the “insane” part, but I also want to read [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] as “[name_u]Keenan[/name_u] [name_m]Thompson[/name_m],” as a previous poster mentioned.
Overall, I prefer [name_m]Keiran[/name_m] [name_m]Zane[/name_m], but both combos are fine, really.
It does sound like “you’re insane” your other choice sounds too much like Keenann Thompsin the actor
