Name Spelling Help! Leina, Leena, Lyenna...?

My husband LOVES the name [name_f]Leina[/name_f] ([name_u]Lee[/name_u]-en-uh) and is dead set on using it. My concern is that I have no idea how to spell it so that people know how to pronounce it. I know that there will always be some mispronunciations, but I’d like to make it as widely acceptable as I can. [name_f]Every[/name_f] variation I can think of shows the pronunciation [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-na.

Any suggestions? Middle name ideas would be great, too! I generally like soft sounding names. Thank you!!

[name_f]Lianna[/name_f] would be the best way to get that pronunciation (or [name_f]Liana[/name_f], depending on where you are and whether you use -anna or -ana with the EN-UH pronunciation (here, -ana is [name_m]AH[/name_m]-nuh, but I think in [name_u]America[/name_u]’ they say the opposite…)

I love the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Leina[/name_f], which I assume is said like [name_m]LAY[/name_m]-nah. But if I wanted lee-EN-ah, I would do Lienna. I think. Only one letter off from [name_f]Vienna[/name_f], so I would assume it’d get said correctly most of the time?

Good luck!

I agree that Lienna is the only way I can imagine that spelled phonetically. Maybe Leyenna or Leyena, though I’d think of that more as [name_m]LAY[/name_m]-en-uh.
