Name stealing

Exactly, think about all of the men in the past who took things woman created and claimed them as their own🙄.

Not really, but I feel like if I used [name_u]Julian[/name_u] my dad would constantly bring up a local company. I’m pretty sure the company’s been around longer than I have though, so it’s not technically stealing haha. I’m not old enough for my friends to be having kids yet though, so there’s not really anyone who can steal from me.

Personally, I’m over the idea of “stealing names” or names that are “too popular”. If I like a name, then I like it. If another person and I end up with kids who have the same names? Well, look at us and our great taste.

I feel the pull of both sides. But I have found that since having my daughter I always want to suggest her name to other people because it’s such a great name! Why wouldn’t I want people to acknowledge the awesomeness of her name? Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right? :grinning:

My sister stole the name [name_m]Westen[/name_m] from me. I haven’t had a baby, but she has 3. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_m]Westen[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], and [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m].
