The next student is good friends with Blaine - but admittedly, it’s hard to find someone who she is not friends with, due to being a huge social butterfly. She has tried out every hobby in the world - from skating through video games to singing - and it left her with a very diverse group to hang out with. This year, she decided to try acting and in her typical fashion went with the bold option of auditioning for Audrey in " Little Shop Of Horrors" for no reason other than the plant in the musical reminded her of Cowplant from the Sims series and she thought the whole concept is awesome. The main teacher of the Drama Club recognised her expirience in singing (the church choir is one of the hobbies she hasn’t abandonded after a few tries, having been there since 5th grade) and agreed for her to play Audrey, which this student was very surprised about.
Everyone was convinced that it was Polaris’ sister who is going to take the role - and some even tried to initiate rivarly between the two - but this student quickly shot it down, knowing how women criticizing other women can lead to the devastation of one’s self-esteem.
She gained that knowledge from the experiences of her sister , Lavonne , who was bullied by Gemma Kate Norton , a former student at Saint Paul’s - for nothing other than reading romance novels during lunch breaks and daring to prefer dresses or overalls in pink and purple to trousers , which Lavonne typically avoids wearing to this day - even though she had a brief period of shopaholism in search of a less stereotypically feminine style that would suit her just as well - she was willing to spend all of her allowence on any clothes that would prompt the main “mean girl” of the school to stop mocking her. It of course strained both sisters’ personal budgets, because this student was always willing to borrow her money too - and they missed out on many “Sister Sundays” together , not being able to spend time bettering their relationship at the cinema, museum or a restaurant. The temporary loss of this ritual might seem minor but hurt this student more than she would ever admit to anybody, being closer with Lavonne than anyone else in the family.
This student is still incredibly resentful towards Gemma Kate and even though Lavonne is now doing well in a new environment, studying Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Rhode Island in hopes of becoming a bestselling romance author.
The social butterfly still feels like the toxic aura of judgment around being a woman hasn’t quite left the school, even without a new mean girl clique emerging. After getting the approval of her not-yet-famous sister and conversing with the Turner siblings , who were also affected by the whole ordeal, she decided to write to Gemma Kate 's boyfriend, Lemuel through Instagram . letting him know Lavonne 's and Remi Turner ’ s story, as well as confronting Gemma Kate more directly through a voice message. She felt like it was the only way she could possibly get any kind of closure regarding the situation and move on, focusing on her work to connect people from different social circles and make St. Paul’s a better place.
Because of the many hobbies that she had, she incorporated somewhat ecclectic elements of the style of many subcultures - you’ll see her in ripped high-waist jeans and baseball caps typical for skater girls, but also she’ll make efforts to make her style more feminine with bubblegum pink sneakers, belts in pastel colors and nails painted a nice shade of lavender. She wears her cinnabar dyed hair in dreadlocks , but the most noticeable feature on her head are her JBL headphones which her clasmatess claim to never have left her hears or neck since the day she bought them - blasting classic girl groups like TLC and Destiny’s Child , whose music showed her the power of African American women like her to make great art. She doesn’t yet know if she wants to go down that path too - in fact, her multitude of hobbies led to an intense confusion an uncertainty about her future as a professional, because as much as she would like to do more than just earning money, she can’t possibly turn all of her past and present interests into a business. She often raises those concerns when talking to Blaine during rehearsals or to Indiana when she skates. Frankly, the infatuation she feels for the latter guy probably won’t make her final decision to be made anytime soon.

The first student is approaching their seventeenth birthday and with this, they’re feeling increased determination to figure out the next step in their life. Having come out as non-binary when they were fourteen, this wasn’t an easy journey - their dad’s now ex-girlfriend deemed this merely a cry for attention, and the often tense relationship between their parents became much more fraught during this time. It was their older sister who proved to be a rock during this time, offering a listening ear whenever they needed and doing her best to ensure they didn’t blame themselves for the arguments; with this student crediting her compassion as what inspired them to be interested in childcare, hoping to promote a more inclusive environment where identity is embraced. Since she left for university to train in psychotherapy, they’ve missed their sister but have continued as her greatest supporter - knowing she’ll be perfect in her chosen career path - and this encouraging nature is applied to their friends too, always going out of their way to offer praise or constructive criticism if it’s asked for. After their dad broke up with his girlfriend - pretty quickly after her comment, but before the War of Words was over - he went out of his way to support them, something that they not only appreciate but find especially reassuring, as they had a special bond with him prior to this (both being absolutely mad about B-Movies) and feared it would be broken, thankfully it’s now only strengthened!
At 5’5", they have a natural flush to their complexion which is offset by the ruddy gold of their hair - which has a natural wave to it and is cut at shoulder length, pushed back with clips or a tied into a loose braid, emulating a lazy styling. The light green of their eyes brightens against this, even more so thanks to their favouring of gold jewelry. Their aesthetic is Hellenic, however they aren’t quite ready to don a toga - instead preferring flowing fabrics, oversized blouses and maxi skirts, or the occasional corset depicting either classical mythology figures or artwork from the actual time period; with white, peach and pale cream being the staple colours. Alternatively they might wear some silk trousers and an oversized jumper, rather amusingly always wearing fluffy socks. This stems from their love of Greek myths growing up, and in particular they enjoy paying homage to lesser known deities, with a favoured makeup look being based on Melione, Goddess of Ghosts. Although they have twice pierced earlobes they decided against anything else until they’re legally able to get a tattoo, having been saving up from their weekend job at their mom’s sporting goods shop. In spite of both their parents and stepdad being avid about sports, they’ve got a slight figure and openly joke about their lack of interest - with tennis being the sole exception.
Although they admit to having no artistic skills, this students close with Caz Vélez and have spoken to him a lot about the difficulties he’s faced - with their respective bonds with their older siblings being what led to this friendship. Now they have a suspicion their feelings for him have ventured into crush territory but never know how to express this, especially as they’re so different to Pomeline Newman - and the fear of ruining a relationship that means so much to them holds them back. They’re thankful that their best friend is also attending this class, as the pair’s love of weird films and movie trivia keeps their mind off Caz - instead trying to balance the laughter with taking in Ms. Daskal’s information, feeling a little guilty about their not always perfect attention span. This friendship stems back to when they were in kindergarten themselves, having bonded over their strong imaginations and love of playing complex pretend games. The teacher’s style is something that’s earned this students respect and they always perform well in her class, not being the most natural academic but their grades vary considerably depending on what subject they’re being taught - something they’re at peace with and often joke about themselves. Thanks to their demeanor they’re pretty popular in a unique way, getting along with most of their classmates - unless someone’s particularly prickly or intolerant - but their core friend group is small, as they don’t always enjoy lots of attention (something they prefer to hide); based on being bombarded with questions when their parents divorce - and conflict - started. Their one Achilles Heel - as they call it - is their gluten intolerance, which is especially frustrating at times thanks to their mom being an amazing bread maker: something their friends are always benefitting from.

The next student is Alexis’ older sister. She tries her hardest to support them after they came out as non-binary and in an effort to do this, she talks a lot with Tati and Vernon at university because she knows they had their own struggles regarding gender identity. She also sometimes to Rimon, who is non-binary, although they are not particularly close because she doesn’t understand their interest in technology much. All of these people she does her best to value as friends or acquaintances. She listens very closely when they talk about what made them feel welcomed following coming-out. She enjoyed Vernon’s story about the pendant with genderfluid flag colours that he received from his own sister and wants to make a similar piece of home-made jewellery for Alexis, too. Through this bunch of friends she also got to know Lemuel and is kind of concerned about him because of the relationship she had with his girlfriend while in high school.
She and Gemma Kate Norton attended St. Paul’s before they went to different colleges. They both spent their high school years in positions of power at the school. They were very popular, witty and rather good at talking back to teachers. They got those skills at the prestigious Speech and Debate after-school club that St. Paul’s is famous for to this day. Pretty soon, they formed a “mean girl” clique with three other girls – Roselyn Grant , Keziah Brown and Quadira Malik. Gemma Kate was their perceived leader. She dictated how they should dress to be “unique” – she regularly put down other women for liking traditionally feminine things like the colour pink, romantic comedies or shopping. She also shut down the ability of girls she deemed “unworthy” to attend social events organised by the clique , as well as used her oratory skills to make jokes at the expense of those girls, which more often than not received immediate laughs from the high-school audience – including her. ’
In reality, the girl was the very type of woman Gemma Kate hated so much – loving pink, ponies, cliché pop music from the 90s and 00s to the effect of Britney Spears or NSYNC, and most importantly – she felt a deep sisterhood with other women, which is the cause of her now being a rather enthusiastic advocate for feminist causes. What pushed her into a friendship with Gemma Kate was not a genuine connection, but rather the fear of being a social outcast.
Once another girl from the clique - Quadira – was attacked by Gemma Kate verbally under the guise of a joke. The reason was as trivial as noticing that Quadira, in fact, watched Love Island on her phone despite informing her beforehand that she was playing the mobile version for League of Legends. The “jokes” continued further after Quadira wore a salmon-coloured hijab that she received from her grandma who was visiting from Jordan. All because Gemma Kate deemed the colour basically pink. She was promptly pushed to the side for those two huge offenses. Several isolation techniques were used against her, the very same ones she used to isolate “girly girls”.
This was the final straw for the girl – together with Quadira they decided to break away from the toxic environment. It showed her that Gemma Kate was entirely capable of turning her back on those she called closest friends as long as she felt they didn’t quite fit into her definition of a “real woman”. The girl worries about Lemuel and often contemplates whether or not she should tell him about Gemma Kate ‘s past. As much as she would like to assume that the now-tattoo artist has changed, she predicts how damaging Gemma Kate ‘s past toxic behaviours could be for Lemuel’s sensitive soul.
Now, the girl can comfortably dress according to the “soft girl” aesthetic. At 5’4’’ she has bubblegum pink hair with bangs that she often wears in pigtails. Her outfits are mostly monochrome in light colours – light purple or blue being her favourite, although from time to time she will go into a full-on Barbie mode and wear everything in hot pink. Her favourite things are plain cardigans or tight-fitted tops with long sleeves. She also enjoys plaid skirts and cute, fruit-themed and candy-themed accessories. Her cherry-shaped earrings and cotton candy necklace are stuff you will rarely see her without. She will also sometimes wear sheer dresses, mostly white ones with flowery patterns. She experiments a lot with make-up, often using silver or golden, but minimalist face jewellery. She also has a habit of adding a layer of peachy or coral blush from her left to right cheek over the middle of her nose. She doesn’t plan on having any make-up or piercing done, as she feels she would regret getting them quickly due to her tendency to constantly want to modify something about her appearance. Something as permanent as a tattoo just wouldn’t fit her.

The next student grew up as an only child and therefore was has always been very much his parents’ highest priority. When he was a child, his dad Raymond stayed at home with him while his mom. Thelma , worked as a laboratory director for a biomedical company. This made him understandably closer to his dad, who recieved a lot of criticism for being a stay-at-home parent and enjoying not only repairs around the house , but also cooking and baking, while mom was the main breadwinner and did most of the cleaning as well as decorating. His dad’s unapologetic being himself regardless of others’ opinions and outstanding devotion to family life has showed him that a “real man” can do whatever he wants and care for loved ones however he sees fit, no matter how society dictates.
This led the guy to also develop an interest in cooking and he went from culinary art to visual art rather quickly, ultimately choosing Animation at university. In his work he loves incorporating the theme of family or family-like bonds between friends. A common character there is a fluffy dragon full of neon-green and bright yellow feathers - which honors both his lovebirds Plum and Persimmon as well as his eastern bearded dragon Clementine .
At 5’8’’ has a tan complexion and dark, almost black eyes. He likes the way it contrasts with his lilac blonde hair that is wavy and styled in the " curtain " hairstyle. He prefers pastel colors , his favourite being pastel mint and light purple , but he also likes more lively ones like canary yellow from time to time. Dressing rather comfy , you can often see him in oversized sweaters with stripes, bowling shirts with flowery or plant motifs and Adidas sneakers. As for trousers he wears mostly classic Levi’s or grey chinos. There is a bit of a tougher side to this soft aesthetic, as he also has shark bites piercings and a tattoo on his neck that shows Saturn with two stars around it - symbolizing his parents who were always there for him even when he felt isolated as if he was an alien from another planet. He was really thankful to the also college-attending tattoo artist who did it - so much so that he brought her flowers and bonbons , which she treated as an opportunity to ask him out. Now him and Gemma Kate have been together for six months and his parents absolutely adore how caring she is towards their son, while also convincing his introverted self to get out of his comfort zone and be adventurous!
At university he often hangs out with Pixel , admiring her androgynous look and taking beauty tips from her. He also is a frequent customer at the campus coffee shop together with Tati , which leads to many interesting conversations where he’s listening closely while sipping caramel frappucino and sketching. Vernon is another buddy of his - their conversations are often deep and revolve around how different their family lives are from eachother. This guy feels like Vernon is wise beyond his years and often takes advice from him when dealing with immense sadness.
