personality: xavier’s a very nonchalant and sometimes sardonic man, which can be his biggest fault at times. however, he’s a very creative and intelligent man, and part of the reason he got into teaching art for sophomores was because it inspired him. his father wanted him to be a professor, but he decided to get into another form of teaching. xavier isn’t on the best of terms with the man, and hates that david married so soon after the death of bella, his mother, who he absolutely adored and looked up to a lot. he tries not to hold it against nim, he knows it’s not her fault. xavier is very close with his twin, bastian, and his sister olivia. he’s also very close with all his students and encourages them to pursue creativity in all forms, which is why he decided to teach studio art as it allowed for more creative wiggle room. apart from teaching, he runs an art gallery with his fiancé, emmanuel, who he lives with in downtown new york. they actually met at an art convention three years ago, and that fateful day was the day xavier decided emmanuel was the most beautiful man he’d ever met. the two are set to get married in october of 2023, and hope to start adopting children soon after that.
appearance: xavier is 6’0 tall, with a lean but muscular build from working out and running, two of xavier’s favorite pasttimes besides painting and art. his eyes are icy blue, and he has a very sharp jawline with light pale skin. his hair is curly and brown, and falls in his eyes a bit. he has piercings, an antihelix on both ears and an industrial on one, and likes wearing cool jewelry such as an arrow for the industrial. his choice in wardrobe is as edgy as his choice in jewelry, and he likes to wear cardigans, particularly black ones, as well as black jeans and occasionally paint-stained overalls to class. he also has some tattoos- a paint palette on his lower back, a “follow your dreams” in cursive on his arm, and emmanuel’s name on his hand with a small heart next to it.

appearance: short and compact at 5’1, fei’s a ball of energy who enjoys running and various other athletic activities. fei used to have long, thick black hair in her youth, but now it’s cut into a choppy neck-length (for the most part) bob, something she did herself out of pure boredom. she likes to wear clips in it to tame the fringe, which in hindsight she should have gotten done by a professional. fei has a confident and cocky air to her, always standing tall with her chest puffed out. fei doesn’t give makeup any thought. she’s got big dark brown eyes with faint glints of green in them, something she inherited from her mom, yingwen. fei enjoys wearing reds and other bold, vibrant colors, and favors blazers and hoodies along with skirts that show off her slim figure. she also likes to wear sneakers. fei additionally has little drawings all over her body, which she practices while bored.

personality: mica is a shy and quiet person who’s thrilled to be in his sophomore year in college, and loves his class along with his teacher, and xavier also loves having him in his class. they’re a very crafty individual-no pun intended, of course, and intends to go into sculpting as his profession. he’s got a love of 3D art, and experimented a lot with papier-mâché in late high school, before deciding that clay was his preferred method. his parents have been very supportive, as both of them were artists, warren being a potter and eva being a painter. mica is very close with their sister mal, who’s 14 and isn’t quite sure what she wants to do in life yet, but is eager to find out as she continues her life journey. mica is also half-jewish from his mom, and is very proud of his heritage. mica doesn’t have a girlfriend or boyfriend as of now, but there is a boy in a few of his classes he thinks is super cute, and wants to get to know on a more personal level- he’s always been nice to them and they think he likes them too. mica can be insecure sometimes, despite his obvious prowess in art classes, he’s very self-conscious by nature and tends to be reserved with his feelings, unfortunately, but he’s seeing a therapist and getting it all worked out.
appearance: mica is average height, 5’10”, and has a slim build that he’s insecure about, and he’s been taking swimming classes and going to the gym to add some muscle to his skinny figure. he has a birthmark on his left cheek that’s oddly shaped, as well as eyes a striking shade of amber comparable to topaz stones glinting in the sunlight. his hair is brown and fluffy-curly, and hangs in his eyes just the right amount that he can still see, and he also has a dyed streak of blonde in it, something he prides himself on. mica’s choice in clothing is very much artsy, and he favors flannels on cold days but paint-stained overalls on a plain t-shirt on warm ones. he does enjoy flared jeans, and all of his clothes are stained in some way either from art class or just his clumsiness, as mica is extremely clumsy and a general source of accidents in the class. he likes wearing doc martens or crocs for shoes, and his earlobes are pierced as well as his antihelix, forward helix and antitragus on his right ear, usually opting for simple black gold or silver jewellry. he says they don’t hurt, but they do. he’s also a fan of necklaces, particularly chains, and rings.

personality: kalila is not shy but she also isn’t very outgoing either. she has an rbf that causes some people to say she’s mean, but she is the farthest from mean. she’s super friendly and generous and always kind to everyone. kalila has never been the girl for confrontation, always being the bigger person in conflicts. kalila has always been into art, being able to draw and paint with high skills at such a young age. once her parents saw that she was so talented in art, they nurtured that talent which ended up working out so well for her when she got older. she went to an arts high school and focused on drawing rather than painting. this is because she wants to be a video game artist. mr. hofmann really thinks that kalila will go far, based on her performance even in his class.

appearance: kalila is average height, around 5’4” and has a very curvy build that she appreciates. she doesn’t show her body though, as she is a hijabi, so she dresses very modestly. she loves that about her religion and loves to go fabric shopping with her dad to find many different colors so her aunt can make her abayas and hijabs. kalila has a medium brown skin tone color, in between her mothers and her fathers. her eyes are small but round and hazel in color, which she got from her dad. she also has puffy lips that she likes because so many colors look nice on them. kalila has needed glasses basically all of her life, but now she wears contacts mainly. when she does wear glasses though, they are purple and rectangular shaped frame.

Personality: Davy is a much more responsible and loving individual since becoming a recent father to his son Bennett Joshua. He and Tobiah are close brothers and love taking the same art class even though Davy is well aware Tobiah is pretending to hate it. Davy does have some hardships with raising Bennett as a young teen father and he’s grateful for his family for support and love. While his family was concerned with him having a son so young, they’ve completely respected him and don’t love him or Bennett any less. Davy is still together with his girlfriend, Bennett’s mother but they’ve focused on parenting first and relationship second. It’s waned a bit on their love life but when they make time for romance and dating, it’s always worth it. He’s glad he and Tobiah take the class together and have more brotherly time, and he knows Tobiah secretly loves it too.

personality: frankie can be a little uptight and stoic at times, especially considering her rough background- her parents abandoned her and her sister and she was left to fend for herself. frankie, as a result, is extremely overprotective of maisie and her newborn son bennett, who’s the light of her life. she views maisie as more of a daughter than a sister and is very strict with her, not allowing her to go to parties or have friends if not approved by frankie herself, and maisie often sees her sister as a bit of a tyrant, but it’s all done with a reason- frankie has had to scavenge and fend for herself in new york for so long, and it’s a wonder she’s in college now especially with the whole pregnancy situation. art has been her passion for years now, and her ability to create lifelike portraits has stunned many. as someone who’s been underestimated by many her whole entire life, frankie takes great pleasure in proving them wrong. her cut-throat nature and stone-cold demeanour was arguably what drew davy to her in the first place. ironically, he ended up proving her wrong- she thought he was just like other guys but he ended up sweeping her off her feet. the two are great parents to bennett. apart from her college, frankie works a part time job at a coffee shop to support her baby boy and maisie, who she’s determined to send to college no matter what happens.

appearance: frankie is a short and petite woman, being 5’2, and is slender with a small chest. the pregnancy took a toll on her body, and she’s a bit pudgier than her old figure which was much slimmer and she has stretch marks, but davy assures her every day that he finds her beautiful no matter what. she used to love wearing brogues but the pregnancy has made flats her go to. she has long, thick black hair that she wears at shoulder length, lightly tanned skin, and big almond-shaped brown eyes with little flecks of green in them. frankie is 1/4 japanese, from her maternal side of the family. she needs glasses, and feels that the blue glasses she chooses adds character to her face. she’s also got a scar on her left cheek, a small slit from a minor biking accident when she was 15 and coming home from work, though it’s not noticeable if you don’t look that hard. frankie loves to wear tights, and has adopted a more dark-academia sort of look, employing pleated skirts and sweaters in her everyday wardrobe, along with a black knitted vest she loves to wear over long shirts or sweaters. she will also occasionally steal davy’s hoodies, but she’s very careful about returning them.

He is a co-worker of [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] at the coffee shop.

Appearance: He’s of Brasilian descent. His physical presence and energy can be both inspiring and intimidating, making him a formidable and memorable presence. He is a young man with a striking physical presence. He has dark hair and brown eyes, and his face is angular and intense. He has an athletic build and is confident in himself. He was once shy and awkward but he’s becoming a tougher person and he’s always improving his smarts.

appearance: elsa is slender, fragile-looking and lithe at 5’4, but the way she moves you can see her muscle from years of doing ballet, which she prides herself on. her hair is a very light blonde that’s almost like white, and her eyes are blue. she’s often compared to the elsa from frozen due to her looks and her name. she’s also got some small moles on her face she used to be insecure of, but when her boyfriend khalid compared them to a beautiful constellation, she decided that they were beautiful and she wouldn’t be ashamed of them anymore. she’s also got some on her back. elsa likes to wear her hair down, or in small braids, with sage green or flower clips in them. elsa’s aesthetic is something close to fairycore, her clothing being all sorts of natural tones including green and brown. she loves corsets, and long flowy skirts as well as a lacy white dress she adores- lace has always been a love of elsa’s. she has her septum pierced, as well as her helix and earlobes, and likes to opt for more simple jewelry but has a pair of extravagant leaf earrings khalid got her for her birthday that she adores.

Personality: Seeing the number of young parents in the class, Fiete thinks he may be the father of a baby himself. Not the first person you would suspect because of his unpredictable nature and his part-time job in a concert hall. He does get angry, but he doesn’t get violent. He’s more the type to bottle his sadness and anger and hold back his thoughts and emotions until he ends up making a mistake and letting them out in the wrong way. You can talk to him and reason with him and he’ll always explain why he did something. But if he’s truly mad he’ll be silent until it fades. He would rather let emotions wash off than deal with them immediately. He is a very talented artist, and is works are wonderful and full of surprises. His grandparents passed away from heart failure four years prior and it’s been a daunting and horrible moment for him, since they inspired him. His brother Klaus, who was well-known to the college as one of the cafeteria chefs, passed away in his home at 26 sometime between Christmas and New Years. No foul play was suspected and no signs of drugs, alcohol, or any chance of Klaus causing his own death. An autopsy revealed Klaus also had heart problems, dying of an enlarged heart despite showing no obvious symptoms before his death. Fiete and his father have had check-ups by the doctor and their hearts are fine. Fiete is very close with a young woman whom they’re mutually attracted to and is almost certain she’s pregnant with his child, but he’s unsure, especially given his fear the baby may have a heart complication sometime in life.

Appearance: Fiete Wagner is a 20 year old man with piercing blue eyes, golden blond hair and a petite but toned body. His face is full of freckles, and he looks innocent, but he has a mischievous smile. His smile reflects the stories and arts he creates everyday. He and his late grandfather are the only family member with piercing blue eyes, with everyone else having grey-blue eyes. He’s also the only one with golden blond hair although his late grandmother had this colour when she was younger. His parents were brunettes and Klaus had dark brown hair, inherited from his living maternal side.
