Name thoughts?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone,

[name_f][/name_f]

Posted a couple of months ago and received a lot of great suggestions for our 4th baby, a boy due in [name_m]March[/name_m].

[name_f][/name_f]

I think my husband and I decided on [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] (nn Wes)…thoughts with sib set?

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_m]Luke[/name_m] [name_m]Jordan[/name_m] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Maureen[/name_f].

[name_f][/name_f]

All middle names are family names, which is important bc we will not shift from [name_m]Marshall[/name_m].

[name_f][/name_f]

It was important to me that the names all had the same vibe and flowed together, and also I think [name_m]Luke[/name_m] (we call him Lukey) and [name_m]Wes[/name_m] sound sweet together as a brother set.

[name_f][/name_f]

Thanks for your thoughts!

I really like it! [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] flows well and I like how it fits with your other kids’ names: All first names feel well established/classic but not in any way dated. I also really like that all first names have a different ending and that two kids each share a middle name initial (not that relevant, just something I noticed!)

Honestly, this is one of the most gorgeously matched sibsets I’ve seen in a while. I would find this set adorable if I met them in real life. I think every name has a great modern classic energy: familiar without being super old fashioned, friendly, and approachable. Luke and Wes are both are gentle and masculine in my mind, with Norah and Violet adding to the cosiness of the whole set. Great choices.

It’s a lovely set! All four names feel contemporary and yet with a kinda cosy vintagey edge, to me. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the JJ/MM middles too [name_f][/name_f]- very satisfying.

LOVE this. [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] is so sweet, and [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] deserves more appreciation. I agree with the above users that this sibset is one of the best balanced sibsets I’ve seen in awhile. So cozy and warm but still unique to each kid!

And I adore the nickname [name_m]Wes[/name_m]. He can be southern, cozy, peppy, or chill, all depending on the combo and the kid :))

[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] is perfect with your kiddos, especially with Luke’s name! [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] are perfect for brothers. [name_f][/name_f] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I think it’s a cracking name - both on its own terms and as a sibling.

They’re both great but I personally love Westley more than Wesley - because of the Princess Bride. However, in this case and with Marshall as a middle, Wesley is stronger. Plus Wesley is better known. :sparkles:

[name_m]Wonderful[/name_m] choice [name_f][/name_f]- solid, handsome and friendly [name_f][/name_f]- works well with the set (but also stands on its own)!
