A friend and I were talking about how names become popular and I was wondering if there are any websites where its theorized why a specific name grew in popularity. For instance, I know [name]Aidan[/name] most likely got its jump start due to Sex in the City (same with [name]Charlotte[/name])…I am looking for info on that sort of thing. Anybody know of blogs, websites etc? As somebody who is pretty clueless to pop culture over the past ten or so years, I am really wondering how certain names over the past decade became “big”.
