It’s just like “Name Your School Children” except it’s for dance studio!

The dance studio is mostly girls, but you can enroll boys too.

Each poster writes the names and ages of their children and you can include birthdays if you want!

For Example:

This is all hypothetical of course but I thought it could be a fun game and allow us to go wild with our imaginations!

  • [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] is the youngest in her ballet class but dances a grade higher than others her age. Her favourite colour is pink and she is trying to grow her hair out to be as long as possible. She only likes doing ballet.

  • [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] & [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] Beasley always answer to [name_f]Vicky[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. They are best friends with [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_m]Lowell[/name_m] and are also in the same classes at school.

  • [name_f]Vicky[/name_f] is not in the same ballet grade as [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] and she has another best friend called April-Rose.

  • [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] only like going to dance if she knows that [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] will be there. If [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] misses a lesson, [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] cries and refuses to take part.

[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] has been dancing since she was 2 years old when she started toddler tap. She moved to first class when she was 5 years old and is now in second class, which she started when she was 7 years old. She will move into third class when she is 11. Her younger sisters are twins. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] loves to teach them new tap skills and this has meant they started toddler tap early, at 18 months old and have now also moved up into second class early, joining their sister.

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] has Down’s Syndrome. She has been tapping since she was 6 and is still in class due to her developmental delays. She has lots of friends within the group and loves coming each week.

[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] has been dancing since she was 3. She did toddler ballet and tap, then stopped tap after a year. She started tapping again when she was 7 and is enjoying it much more now. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] go to each other’s houses often for tea before dance.

Lily-May started dancing when she was two. She is best friends with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and has danced with them for the past 5 years. The twins moved up to the class early, when Lily-May moved up.

[name_f]Pippa[/name_f] is a lovely girl. She has now been tapping for 3 years and is a brilliant little dancer. [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] have become duet partners in the last year and are already starting to win local competitions.

[name_u]Charley[/name_u] started tap 6 months ago. Although she is 8, she spent 2 months in first class to build up her skills. Most children starting spend 6 months in first class before moving up but [name_u]Charley[/name_u] was so good she moved up early. Although she has not been in second class long, she is already one of the best dancers in the class and has a bright future ahead of her.

[name_u]Harlow[/name_u] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] [name_m]Vinney[/name_m] (7) [April 15th 2014]

[name_u]Harlow[/name_u] has been dancing with her school friend [name_f]Lexa[/name_f] since [name_u]September[/name_u] last year. They started together and moved up to second class 4 weeks ago. Although they are a similar age to many of the other children in the class, they are very close and reluctant to mix with the others. The class teacher has been trying to help them make more friends.

  • [name_m]Tig[/name_m] and [name_f]April[/name_f] are the daughters’ of Dr. [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] ‘Hera’ Froebel, an anthropologist, and [name_m]Richard[/name_m] ‘Rich’ Froebel, a pianist. They have an older sister, Eva-Joy ‘Eve’ Froebel, who’s 15 and prefers swimming to dance, belonging to her school team.
  • [name_m]Tig[/name_m] is in contemporary dance class, alongside jazz, having started with ballet but never really getting into it much. She’s confident and eager to compete, having a respectable track record of wins under her belt which she’s very proud of.
  • [name_f]April[/name_f] takes dance much less seriously than her sister, enjoying it because it means she gets to see her close friend [name_f]Vicky[/name_f], who she’s known since she was a baby, thanks to their mothers’ being old friends.
  • Tig’s teacher for jazz is [name_f]Deryn[/name_f] McBride, who’s originally from [name_u]Ireland[/name_u] and moved after being contacted by the studio thanks to her impressive history of both performing and teaching jazz.
  • Tig’s best friend, [name_f]Nora[/name_f], also takes contemporary classes, and the pair began dancing at the same time; as [name_f]Nora[/name_f] didn’t feel confident enough to attend until [name_m]Tig[/name_m] also showed interest. They’ve been inseparable since they were 6 and both are considered very talented.

  • Marcie’s parents are [name_m]Paul[/name_m] Vestry, an illustrator, and [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] Hodgkiss, a stable manager. She’s the only girl in her family, having a 12 year old brother named [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], who’s an avid skateboarder. Her family is new to the area, having moved when [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] got a new job, although [name_f]Marcie[/name_f] also danced where she used to live too.
  • [name_f]Marcie[/name_f] dances jazz and tap, although she’s recently become interested in trying ballet again, having last been in classes when she was 4.
  • She’s also an avid horse rider, having a mare named Chestnut who she adores and visits at least twice a week.
  • Being naturally shy, Marcie’s new teacher - [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] Hollander - arranged for her to have a ‘buddy’ to introduce her her the class environment, with a girl named [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] having been chosen. The two girls have become very good friends subsequently, much to the relief of Marcie’s parents.
  • More recently, Marcie’s begun taking more interest in shows and performances, her dad’s having helped boost her confidence in this. She has a lot of potential, but her apprehension is what holds her back from reaching her full potential.

  • [name_u]Landon[/name_u] and [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] are the children of Dr. [name_f]Megan[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Meg[/name_f] ’ (Briscoe) McAllister, a paediatrician, and [name_m]Guy[/name_m] McAllister, a newspaper editor. Their parents are arguably where the siblings get their driven, confident natures from, as their mother grew up in poverty and worked incredibly hard to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor.
  • [name_u]Landon[/name_u] belongs to contemporary and lyrical dance classes, having been a talented tap dancer when he was younger but eventually losing interest. He’s a driven, hardworking dancer who’s known for his expressive style; attending drama club alongside dance which allows him to further compliment lyrical solos he performs.
  • [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] is in jazz, lyrical and acro classes, having also started with tap but she never enjoyed it as much as her big brother. She’s arguably even more serious about dancing, not sharing her brothers interest in acting and would love nothing more than to pursue it as a career when she’s older. While she enjoys solos, duos and trips are her favourite pieces to perform; in part because she’s often paired with her best friend, [name_f]Priya[/name_f].
  • Both [name_u]Landon[/name_u] and [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] are taught lyrical by [name_m]Travis[/name_m] Goldly, with him being the teacher over the age range of 9-16, having a very versatile style and boundless enthusiasm for dance.
  • Landon’s contemporary class is taught by [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] Desjardin, one of the school’s senior staff members who had a successful career performing in music videos and live tours. Firm but fair, she’s always pushing her students to their maximum potential, but always listens to them in spite of her drive.
  • [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] attends [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] Toleni’s jazz class and [name_u]Harlow[/name_u] Fitzgerald’s acro, both being newer teachers who were bought in thanks to their daring, creative styles. [name_u]Harlow[/name_u] in particular is a favourite of the students, [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] included, as they’re warm, patient and understanding; always wanting to lift up everyone.
  • The siblings aunt, [name_f]Catrina[/name_f] ’ [name_f]Trina[/name_f] ’ Briscoe, teaches at the school with her class being lyrical for 6-8 year olds. She often takes them to class as their parents work long hours and they hero worship her, as she’s always very encouraging and positive towards others; especially her family and students.
