[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I was wondering if nameberries also got creative with their doll/stuffed animal/plushy names? What were your doll/toys names’ growing up? If you have dolls or plushies now and if so what are their names?
[name_f]My[/name_f] sister and I had dolls named [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Cara[/name_f] which on the surface seems pretty standard but [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] was a boy baby doll - so gender bending names since I was little! [name_f]My[/name_f] current stuffed animals are [name_f]Jinx[/name_f] the [name_u]Lynx[/name_u] and Gayog/Captain the teddy bear after the leading man in sound of music.
I only had one doll, [name_f]Betty[/name_f], so here are some of my plush animals: (somewhere in my cupboard currently)

(Weirdly, I wasn’t a huge fan of vintage names- those are just the names that seemed to suit!) I also had a stuffed bear called Yellow [name_m]Bear[/name_m] (very creative, I know) and a stuffed dog named Snuffles.

I named my first doll TTY (pronounced like tee-tee-why)–the family story goes that my parents kept spelling “p-o-t-t-y” to each other to discuss potty training me, and I picked up on the ending [name_f]My[/name_f] next doll after that was [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. Most of the rest of my dolls came with names (or I’d pick different names every time I played with them lol) but I did name some of my stuffed animals–Noukie and Seska are a couple that I remember!
I had a doll named [name_f]Nancy[/name_f]. Her t-shirt said “fancy” and I thought that was her name, but I couldn’t pronounce it so it became [name_f]Nancy[/name_f]!
my childhood stuffed toy is called bean (no clue where that came from)
most of my other stuffed toys are quite “normal” toy names, but i did name a toy rabbit mia elizabeth, she has a first name and a middle name. do not ask where that came from either

I have a stuffed [name_m]Lion[/name_m] named [name_m]Lion[/name_m]. Original, right? I think the best name I’ve given a doll is [name_u]June[/name_u]. I was like 7. I was going to be named [name_u]June[/name_u] but I wasn’t so that’s where I got the name.
Growing up, my dolls were [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]
I also had (and still have) an inventively named elephant plush called [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]
Now I have a puffa fish plush called [name_m]Tide[/name_m], a guinea pig poo plush (don’t ask) called [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] and a daschund plush called [name_m]Albie[/name_m]
I think I named almost every plush, doll, and figure I ever had. I remember that every [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] and [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] doll had a name, but the only ones I remember right off were a [name_f]Midge[/name_f] doll named [name_f]Erin[/name_f] and a kelly with very saturated blue eyes named [name_f]Clarine[/name_f] (like [name_u]Clare[/name_u] + chlorine because her eyes reminded me of the pool ).
I was uncreative. The baby dolls were [name_f]Susanne[/name_f] & [name_u]Simone[/name_u] (my name and my parents’ runner-up for me). The kids in the dollhouse were [name_m]Tom[/name_m], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and a baby I didn’t bother naming. The only real imaginative name I remember was for a [name_f]Lilo[/name_f] figurine that came with a [name_u]Happy[/name_u] Meal - I named her Mariklea, which is what I thought a girl in my school was called before figuring out years later that our teachers were just mispronouncing [name_u]Marie[/name_u]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
I wasn’t much of a doll person but my two favorite stuffed animals when I was little were called [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] (a bear) and Fruit Punch (a triceratops). Fruit Punch’s middle name was [name_u]Berry[/name_u] Blast - it was tie dyed and I thought it looked like a smoothie.
I was way into dolls & stuffed animals as a kid. I had (okay, I may still have them in my basement as a 37 year old… ) over 100 stuffed animals with names. I’ll list the select group that got to sleep in my bed as a kid to keep this to a minimum! I named this all around 6/7 years old.

We also had numerous stuffed animals- I don’t remember all their names now I know there was “Big [name_m]Bear[/name_m]” and “[name_u]Penny[/name_u]” from 101 Dalmatians. We also had American girl dolls but they kept their original names which were [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] and [name_f]Kirsten[/name_f]. Our [name_f]Barbie[/name_f]’s were often playing roles from the books we were reading- usually pony pals- so it varied.
Oh [name_f]Jinx[/name_f] the [name_u]Lynx[/name_u] has a pal which is Jitterbug the caracal named after the actual animal at a animal conservation/rescue where her plush was bought.
