Yeah, where I live, teachers and parents are like “if you reveal even just the first letter of your first name on even the most obscure corner of the internet, a serial killer will track you down and murder you”. So… it was a leap of faith to even say my first name in a thread .

So, some context, my 17yo sister loves succulents and just bought a couple yesterday. She likes to name them; I know she has [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f], among others that I don’t remember.
Me: So, does the cactus have a name yet?
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]: No, I just got it yesterday.
Me: Is it a boy or a girl or…
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]: I don’t know… it has a twin and it’s sassy.
Me: You should name it [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f], it means “twin”.

I know, I feel the same!! I actually said my name on the teenberries thread and so regretted it, though honestly nb is so good that nothing could happen. I kind of wish I had picked another nickname from my full name though… and I’ve considered giving myself a middle name, so I would have to reveal my full name? I would never decide on anything without asking all of nb

I can so relate. [name_f]My[/name_f] technology teacher in seventh grade told us a real story about a girl who met up in person with a guy. I can’t go into details (it’s a bit too disturbing for forums), but she implied that if we ever mentioned even our first names on an internet site, the same would happen to us.
Then she began telling us about pizza.

Being a girl will make you more interesting in many corners of the internet. It’s really not surprising that guys pretend for attention.
(also I had a fixed name for pretending to be a boy in make believe games so I find that even less weird)

@skatercat Me too… I’ve already said my name once, which my mom said was ok when I first made my account, but when she said maybe I should delete it I’ve still been using it… hehe. I put it in my profile, too. Idk what nickname I would pick though. Maybe we can decide together? @dogs_books too? idk just a thought

I have so many questions. [name_m]Claudio[/name_m] makes sense, [name_m]Maximiano[/name_m], maybe even [name_m]Pino[/name_m] and [name_m]Fabrizio[/name_m], but the rest are just bizarre.

You would think that they’d actually put names that origin from the same/similar places. Like, I don’t know, maybe Italian names with [name_m]Mario[/name_m]?
