The way I typically solve this situation is to get defensive over the combination that got the least votes and choose that against the advice of everyone.

I cannot understand the threads that say, “I used to like the name [name_m]Ted[/name_m], but now I am having trouble tolerating it. Help me love the name [name_m]Ted[/name_m].”
They never seem to say why they must love [name_m]Ted[/name_m]. Or [name_m]Bob[/name_m] or [name_f]Carol[/name_f] or [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
There are millions of amazing names out there and I don’t understand why it is desirable to persuade someone off a name to care for it again, or even initially.
