Me trying to organize my name list is a meme in itself- on my 29 page doc, I have a ‘master list’, ‘full list’, ‘culled list’, ‘semi-favorites’, ‘long favorites’, ‘favorites’ and ‘absolute favorites’. All of those for single names, and then all of those for combos. I also have a list OF lists, categorizing my names; Some of my categories are also in my master list, but some of my categories are not also in my master list. I have names that I have deemed ‘eclectic’ even though something individual can’t be eclectic; just ones that seem that way to me. I have a full page of combinations with [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]; and when I find an interesting thread I’ll copy and paste a list from it into my doc. When I find new names, I put it into google keep (like a notes thing) and then later transfer it to my doc. The problem was, at one point I put my google doc list in alphabetical order but didn’t do that to my google keep list, so I could never tell if something on google keep had been added to my google doc. I devised a new system, but the pain remains. And if I find a new name I really like, I have to add it to the master list, the full list, the culled list, the semi-favorites, etc. All the way up! So I usually just take time every so often to do a mass rearrangement of the doc. It’s very very painful.

[name_f]Faye[/name_f] is super cute, but [name_u]Willow[/name_u] is still my fave.

There are few things sadder (@dogs_books last post is one of them) than when you get tons of positive comments about a name you were unsure about and you start to love it, then that one person just HAS to say it’s horrible and a grandma name or sounds bad or something.
