NAMEBERRY UNIVERSE ! I need your feedback!

Hello all !

The victors in my “G” first name combinations are:

[name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]

[name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]

Two very, VERY different energies.

In your opinions,
Which one is has more spunk? Which is more enchanting? Which has better flow? Which is more visually appealing? What kind of woman do you personally envision wearing each?

Thank you all so much !

[name_m]Both[/name_m] names have a very hippie/earthy vibe about them. I prefer [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]. [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] is a strong name, but [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] are both very flimsy in sound. It’s like having the most talented contestant perform first in a talent show. I also feel that the [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] combo is more versatile in terms of nickname options and wearability (?) of the names. The [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] combo flows beautifully, and it’s so magical and pretty without being frilly or silly.

[name_f]Galilea[/name_f] gets my vote. I like the flow better, and it doesn’t feel as crunchy as [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]. As an aside, when I first glanced at your post, I thought the choices were [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] and [name_f]Galatea[/name_f]. I was going to vote for [name_f]Galatea[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] even better.

I much prefer [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]. [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] sounds very religious…like evangelical fundamentalists naming for the Sea of [name_f]Galilee[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], I like the earth association to the name [name_f]Gaia[/name_f], I also just love the name [name_f]Willow[/name_f] – I immediately think of [name_f]Willow[/name_f] from [name_f]Buffy[/name_f] the Vampire Slayer, and I like the story of [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]…

They’re both beautiful - they feel equally Earthy and feminine with mythical/biblical undertones - like exotic princesses.
I prefer [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], for it’s elegance and beauty… but [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] feels like the embodiment of feminine strength and nature so I don’t think I can choose!

There’s a couple of flow-faults in them but honestly I think Nameberry tends to put far too much emphasis on ‘perfect flow’.

Okay I think I’m going with [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] as my favourite. So lovely.

There are a lot of l’s in your combos. I don’t like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillith[/name_f] together ([name_m]Will[/name_m] and Lill). If you choose [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] you could use [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] as a nickname since it contains the letters. Since it’s more versatile, I choose the combo [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]. A [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] would be an exotic, fiery and powerful force of nature. A [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] would be more carefree with a joyful spirit and artistic flair. I don’t know anyone with these names so I’m just giving you a description of the vibe the names give off. Have you considered [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] as a combo?

I like [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] best, but [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lillith[/name_f] is way to L heavy…

Thank you aall !!

I do realize the [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] combo is heavy on the L’s. The reason I’m going with that combination is because each of those names ([name_f]Lilith[/name_f] particularly) embodies female strength. I figured I’d go all out if I’m using [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is a good fallback if [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] are too much for my lo.

I’m going to bump this for more

I disagree that [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] sounds religious or evangelical. I instantly think of [name_m]Galileo[/name_m], a scientist and mathematician. [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] sounds very much in the stars and space, but it is definitely the one that I prefer. Interesting choice all around!

The [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] combo gets my vote.

[name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]- more visually appealling.

[name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]- definitely more spunk and is much more enchanting. I also prefer the flow with the middle names.

[name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]- Too many L sounds for me unfortunately. I like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] but I’m not too keen on either [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilith[/name_f].

[name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]-[name_u]LOVE[/name_u]! I see an imaginative and creative girlie who’s away with the fairies most of the time but is one of the kindest people you’ll meet. This is certainly an enchanting name. [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] are gorgeous together and [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] just makes this combination perfect!

Good luck!

[name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]- I don’t like the sound of this one when spoken. I think its [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] into [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] is a pretty serene name but not too long to be stuffy. I don’t think I can picture it on a person, though I’ve always liked it.

[name_f]Galilea[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]- I’ve never heard [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] and I really like it! It reminds me of [name_m]Galileo[/name_m], which is why I think [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] is really clever as a middle, like celestial.

I prefer the sound of [name_f]Galilea[/name_f]

Thank you all SO MUCH ! ! !
I am still very much undecided. I love [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] for Iit’s meaning, but [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] for its sound.
As far as aesthetics goes [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] is the winner.
Is [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] too remniscent of [name_m]Galileo[/name_m]?.. does it strike anyone as an attempt to honor [name_m]Galileo[/name_m]? Because that is NOT what I’m going for.

Thank you all again !!

[name_f]Galilea[/name_f] hits the double l trend that is hot right now, so I think it is the better option. I instantly think of [name_m]Galileo[/name_m] when I hear/see this name, it actually is exactly what I thought before I even read any posts.
[name_f]Gaia[/name_f] seems like a strong female name as was the name of the protagonist in the Fearless books I read as a teenager.

I can’t believe no one has suggested [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] yet. All the letters are in there so it is not too far off.

[name_f]My[/name_f] first connection was the Sea of [name_f]Galilee[/name_f], which is a lovely connection [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I do hear the similarity with [name_m]Galileo[/name_m], but I don’t think I’d assume you were a huge fan of his.
It’s a beautiful and interesting name.
(Reminds me of my GP [name_m]Gilead[/name_m] for the boys)

I was reading about Pygmalion today, remembered the name [name_f]Galatea[/name_f] and thought of this - it’s similar to both [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] and [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] without the massive [name_f]Earth[/name_f] [name_f]Goddess[/name_f]/astronomer association (not that that is in any way a bad thing!)

I like [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]…

[name_f]Galilea[/name_f] combo gets my vote. I do think of [name_m]Galileo[/name_m] but I don’t think the association overwhelms the name or that people would automatically assume you’re a huge [name_m]Galileo[/name_m] fan. I like the suggestion of [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gaia[/name_f]. Gives you all the best! I know not everyone thinks this way, but I’m always really pleased when I have two names that I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] and find that one can be a nn for the other.

Ultimately [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] I just can’t get past the “[name_m]Guy[/name_m]” part…which also happens to be the majority of the name. But I love the meaning/symbolism/reference.
