Named son Trevor Nolan but it's not right!!! Help! I can still change bc tomorrow!

I had my beautiful boy on Wed and left the hospital yesterday. I painfully wrote a name ([name]Trevor[/name] [name]Nolan[/name]) to make everyone else happy. Now I am home and can’t call him [name]Trevor[/name]. My big boy is [name]Travis[/name] and as I thought they are too close sounding. I am a wreck and need advice. Please help!

If you don’t love it the first day you are home and can still change it I say do it. [name]Trevor[/name] and [name]Travis[/name] are more matchy than I would like.

Could he go by his middle name [name]Nolan[/name]? I agree that [name]Travis[/name] and [name]Trevor[/name] are too matchy.

Does [name]Nolan[/name] fit him? You could switch it to [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Trevor[/name].

Pick a name you and his dad [name]LOVE[/name] and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. It’s OK and it will make for a good story in the end!!

Well, did you have a name you loved and would have liked to name him? Can that work instead? If you didn’t have something different that you just loved, I agree it might be an easy fix to reverse the names and call him [name]Nolan[/name].
Some names that feel similar ([name]IMO[/name]) to [name]Travis[/name], [name]Trevor[/name] and/or [name]Nolan[/name]:

[name]Cole[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]
[name]Landon[/name]
[name]Levi[/name]
[name]Logan[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name]

Congratulations on your baby boy, and best of luck with his name!

I feel for you, the pressure to have a name right after having baby is obviously a rule made by a man!

[name]Don[/name]'t feel pressured to keep his name if you don’t like it.

I think these names work well with [name]Travis[/name]

[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Elliott[/name]
[name]Preston[/name]
[name]Mason[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Colton[/name]
[name]Reid[/name]
[name]Flynn[/name]

I like [name]Nolan[/name], [name]Miles[/name], [name]Elliot[/name], [name]Henry[/name], and [name]Graham[/name] (or [name]Grant[/name] even), with [name]Travis[/name]. I think [name]Nolan[/name] would be adorable as the first name!!

Congratulations on your little boy! It is definitely not too late to change his name. The sooner you do it the better, both legally and for the family’s sake. Good luck! [name]Do[/name] whatever you need to do so you can get back to enjoying your new little one.

[name]Nolan[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name] sounds nice.

[name]Do[/name] you want another T name? Not too matchy: [name]Toby[/name], [name]Tyler[/name], [name]Timothy[/name], or [name]Tate[/name] --[name]Tyler[/name] is my favorite here

Others to consider: [name]Asher[/name], [name]Leo[/name], [name]Jason[/name], [name]Henry[/name], [name]Mason[/name], or [name]Cade[/name].

If you hated it when you filled out the paperwork, change it. If you do it soon enough it will be easier than if you wait (legally).

I do think you should change it. [name]Trevor[/name] is too close to [name]Travis[/name] and if you’re having such serious misgivings at this point, you should change it now while it’s still relatively easy. I agree that [name]Nolan[/name] might be a good choice. Other ideas:

[name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]Cody[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Shane[/name]
[name]Emmett[/name]
[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Jackson[/name]
[name]Forrest[/name]
[name]Slater[/name]

[name]Love[/name] Auroradawn’s suggestions. I think [name]Cole[/name], [name]Lane[/name], [name]Wade[/name], [name]Wyatt[/name], [name]Grady[/name], [name]Wesley[/name] would be perfect.

That’s so sad … I can’t believe anyone would pressure you into naming your child something you hate :frowning:

[name]Nolan[/name] is beautiful, and you could go [name]Nolan[/name] [name]Trevor[/name] … or as someone else mentioned, have another T name instead.

Like suggestions with V in the middle.

[name]Travis[/name] [name]Christopher[/name] [and] [name]Calvin[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Travis[/name] [name]Christopher[/name] [and] [name]Everett[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Travis[/name] [name]Christopher[/name] [and] [name]Gavin[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]

If you like V names, [name]Vincent[/name] [name]Nolan[/name]/[name]Alexander[/name] or [name]Victor[/name] [name]Nolan[/name]/[name]Alexander[/name] sound great too.
Good luck
