I gave birth a week early to my “team green” baby and 6th child. She is my 4th girl. We moved out of our house of 14 years a week before she was born with our 5 other kids…plus [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]. We just haven’t discussed it at all because we have been going a hundred miles an hour non stop for 3 weeks. We left the hospital with our nameless lass and tonight I’m making my husband sit down and hammer this out.
So far I have: [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. My husband is leaning towards [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] I think, but my youngest sister has “claimed” this name since she was 12…and she just got married so I expect a pregnancy announcement in 2020. (It’s a family name. Great-grandma was [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f].)
I guess my style for my girls is classic/popular/feminine. Any other names to throw in the mix?! Help! (She was born [name_u]December[/name_u] 26 and missed [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] by 2.5 hours. I am considering [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] as a middle even though it’s so cliche, I do love it.)
Congratulations! I love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] especially. Could you ask your sister about using [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] or would it be too awkward?
Totally do [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] as a mn. It’s okay that it’s cliche. It’s special that she’s your [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] baby.
Now as for a fn, I wouldn’t do [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]. But you could do [name_f]Fern[/name_f]! I adore [name_f]Fern[/name_f]. It’s so sweet & smart. Like the little girl in [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]'s [name_m]Web[/name_m]. It’s a little more unique than [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f] & [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but it’s classic just like them. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f] & [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are all lovely choices too really. Sorry that I’m no help, because you can’t go wrong w/any of them. I’d say that [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] flows the best.
A few other ideas:
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]-my sister’s cat’s name is [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. . I think it’s lovely.
[name_f]Celia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Holly[/name_f]-maybe not [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] though.
My sister who wants to use [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Lol! My niece is [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. In love with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] but husband hates it. These are all names I would use though. It’s my ridiculous husband. ”*”
I like [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]?
Here are some suggestions:
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_f]Collette[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] jumped out immediately to me as sounding the best with her siblings! I agree with your intuition that if you don’t absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], it’s not necessary to “take” the name from your sister. (If you loved it I’d say go for it, but if you don’t feel strongly I would avoid causing unnecessary hurt feelings.) [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is a lovely name :).
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] would be super lovely with your sibset! And sister could still have [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].
Congratulations! I love your naming style. All of your choices are beautiful, but [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] strikes me as perfect with the sibset. It is a name I would want for myself. I don’t think you can go wrong, though. Other “[name_u]Christmas[/name_u]-y” ideas might be [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is lovely too. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] also might fit your style.
I pretty much immediately put [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] together and loved it… if you do decide on [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] as a middle name, I think think it goes best with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] (love [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] best, but that would be too many 'n’s for me)
Congratulations! I agree that you should use [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] as mn. Who cares if it’s cliche, it’s lovely and she’s your [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] baby. I’m liking [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f].
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is so lovely. [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] also comes to mind as one that fits nicely.
