Nameless baby due any day - help with sib set?

We have a daughter named Rosemary Agnes. And our second baby (which we don’t know the gender) is due any minute. We have some name ideas, but nothing concrete, and we’re definitely having trouble with boys more than girls. The other problem, is our daughter’s name has a lot of meaning and family ties, so we don’t want the sibling to have a name just pulled out of thin air! For our daughter, we picked “Rose” because she was born in England, and added “Mary” to honor my mom, Mary Jane. Agnes is DH’s grandma and also my paternal great grandma.

Our boy choices are:

Murray (This is my top choice, but I’m afraid it sounds weird with our daughter’s name since it sounds close to “Mary”)
Hardy
Rufus (love this one, but concerned about having two R names for our kids)
Troy
Ellis
Harrison
Lennon
Jude
Jasper

For boy middles we have:
Truls
Thomas
Arthur
Ryan
Don

For girls first names:
Anthea (DH and I actually love and agree on this one, actually)
Magnolia
Viola
Faye
Genevieve
Cassia

Middles:
Ruth
Jane
Ealasaid (sounds like “Ee-la-say-d” and is Gaelic for Elizabeth)
Charlotte
Shirley (this was actually my grandfather’s name, and he hated it, so I’d be wary of using it for a girl, haha)

Help/suggestions pllleeease? Any other names that fit with our style that we haven’t considered?

[name]Lennon[/name] Truls
and
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]

I really like [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] and [name]Jude[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] for a boy. For a girl, I like [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Cassia[/name] [name]Ealasaid[/name]. I really like both [name]Anthea[/name] and [name]Cassia[/name] as sisters to [name]Rosemary[/name], and I think [name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Jude[/name] would be great brothers.

[name]Ellis[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] and [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Jane[/name] are my top pics for you.

I have liked [name]Ellis[/name] for a while and with [name]Rose[/name] would make a lovely sibset.
Personally, i adore the NN [name]Thea[/name] and would only take [name]Anthea[/name] as a fuller version for it. Therefore I’ve very much with you and your husband to take [name]Anthea[/name]. I’d love to see a baby [name]Anthea[/name] some day soon

[name]Anthea[/name] has so many cute nicknames, huh? I love it.

Any thoughts on [name]Murray[/name] sounding too close to the [name]Mary[/name] portion of my daughter’s [name]Rosemary[/name]? Would that put you all off it entirely?

i like murray thomas (i don’t think murray and rosemary are too close), then ellis arthur. don’t like don at all and think lennon is too modern sounding next to the very classic rosemary (love).
ellis harrison is nice too.
anthea jane is beautiful and very complementary. it’s heads and tails above the rest.

Me neither. I just really want to have a family connection to that particular family member. And HIS name was [name]Shirley[/name] [name]Don[/name]. Ouch. However, Truls is from his family, and I think it’s cute. But like you say, I don’t think I could really use [name]Don[/name].

I love [name]Rufus[/name] - I wouldn’t worry about the two “r” names. I like [name]Rufus[/name] [name]Arthur[/name], but depends on your surname (initials spelling RAT or [name]RAM[/name] might not work). [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is gorgeous!

[name]Lennon[/name] and [name]Murray[/name] are my favorites for a boy and [name]Genevieve[/name] for a girl.

My top picks from your list for boys and with sister [name]Rosemary[/name] are: [name]Rufus[/name] and [name]Jasper[/name]. I think [name]Murray[/name] would get a little confusing with [name]Rosemary[/name] unless she has a nn ([name]Rosie[/name], [name]Ro[/name]) that you use most of the time. For girls, I agree-- [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is a beautiful name. [name]Cassia[/name] ([name]Cassia[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Cassia[/name] [name]Ealasaid[/name]) is my second pick.

We do usually call our daughter [name]Rosie[/name]. But not 100% of the time.
