I like place names but not super overused ones like london or paris.
Nothing too frilly or ‘classic.’ I think my favorite out of these names is [name]Siena[/name] [name]Skye[/name]. What do you guys think?
Any other name suggestions?
I can’t say I’m a fan of any of them, sorry. [name]How[/name] about something like [name]India[/name] [name]Skye[/name] or [name]Aria[/name] [name]Skye[/name]?
I’m sorry, I think I’m with indianruby on this one. I really like her suggestion of [name]India[/name] [name]Skye[/name]! I like [name]Siena[/name] [name]Skye[/name] the most out of the contenders, but the spelling makes my brain think See-Nah upon first glance. Are you completely set on [name]Skye[/name] as a middle, or do you just want a one syllable nature name?
I really like [name]Coralie[/name] [name]Skye[/name]! I don’t like [name]Coral[/name] [name]Skye[/name] or [name]Capri[/name] [name]Skye[/name] because they both seem very phrase-like to me (a coral-colored sky, like at sunset, or the sky over the island of [name]Capri[/name]), which some people seem to like but really isn’t to my personal taste. I think that [name]Coralie[/name] is a gorgeous name, and while the combination isn’t too different from [name]Coral[/name] [name]Skye[/name] it’s removed enough from being a phrase that it doesn’t bother me.
I actually love all of them, with the exception of [name]Capri[/name] [name]Skye[/name] - that one isn’t catching me for some reason.
While [name]Coral[/name] and [name]Siena[/name] are lovely names in my opinion and certainly ones I would use, their use with “[name]Skye[/name]” does sound a little too much of a description rather than a name - but if you love them, I don’t think they’re unusable. They are certainly beautiful.
[name]Coralie[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is my favourite because it sounds less descriptive and more name like to me
[name]Coralie[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is my favourite. [name]Coralie[/name] is gorgeous and underused, but more romantic than [name]Coral[/name].
I wouldn’t use [name]Siena[/name] [name]Skye[/name], aside from the alliteration, it sounds like you’re describing a sienna (brown) sky, and the 1-n spelling is going to get wrecked a lot as its far less common than with 2.
[name]Capri[/name] makes me think of the place only after I think of short pants, goats, and a weird artificial juice pack thing.
If you wanted unusual places, I’d consider [name]Ravenna[/name], [name]Valencia[/name], [name]Valeria[/name], or Izarra.
[name]Coralie[/name] would be my pick out of the options, although I like the sound of [name]Coraline[/name] better. [name]Love[/name] [name]India[/name] [name]Skye[/name] with a possible nickname of [name]Indi[/name]!
I lovelovelove [name]Coralie[/name] [name]Skye[/name]! [name]Coralie[/name] is vintagey and sweet, yet still a bit literary thanks to [name]James[/name] Fenimore [name]Cooper[/name]'s [name]Cora[/name]. It has that chic French feel, too. And [name]Skye[/name] is more hippy (in a fun way), natural, laid-back, less conventional. I like the pairing, but I love [name]Coralie[/name] in general, especially with the nn [name]Cora[/name].
I do not like [name]India[/name]. I really like [name]Coralie[/name] because ive never heard it used before but, its not to close to ‘orally’ is it? I kinda like [name]Reverie[/name] too but im not sure if I am brave enough to use it, its different.
[name]Coralie[/name] [name]Skye[/name] is my favorite! I also love [name]Siena[/name] [name]Skye[/name],although I prefer the [name]Sienna[/name] spelling.
[name]Siena[/name] [name]Skye[/name]- sounds very literal to me, like “the [name]Siena[/name] sky was hazy”
[name]Capri[/name] [name]Skye[/name]- ditto. For me there’s also the added association of [name]Capri[/name] [name]Sun[/name] - those sugary fruit punches that come in silver bags
[name]Coral[/name] [name]Skye[/name]- Again, it feels literal to me. Purple rain, coral sky…
[name]Coralie[/name] [name]Skye[/name]- This is the least literal of your names, so the easiest for my ears to accept as a “real” name. Still, I hear “coral-y sky” as in the sky has a coral-ish hue.
If you love that your names call up such direct images, then disregard my opinion. I don’t mean to be rudely critical, I just prefer less wordy names.
Would you consider putting [name]Skye[/name] first? It’s so so beautiful and clear. With [name]Skye[/name] in second place, the first name runs the risk of sounding like an adjective describing the sky.
[name]Even[/name] [name]Skye[/name] [name]Siena[/name], though still being very imagistic, feels much less literal to me than [name]Siena[/name] [name]Skye[/name].
[name]Acadia[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Leonie[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Tallulah[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Ada[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Rowen[/name] [name]Skye[/name]- still in the “red sky” theme, but less obvious
[name]Oona[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Calypso[/name] [name]Skye[/name] - feels similar to [name]Coral[/name] [name]Skye[/name], [name]Capri[/name] [name]Skye[/name]… but [name]Calypso[/name] has the gravity of being an ancient name, from the Odyssey.
[name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
[name]Astrid[/name] [name]Skye[/name]
My first pick would be [name]Siena[/name] or [name]Sienna[/name] which I think are beautiful names and the alliteration with [name]Skye[/name] is lovely. My second choice would be [name]Coralie[/name]. I don’t really like [name]Capri[/name] for a name.
