Expecting our first child in 12 days and she is still nameless! We need some help! Here are some of our ideas. We like vintage and uncommon names. Not opposed to unisex names.
My favorite from you list is [name]Mabel[/name] [name]June[/name], but I think you have several usable names here. Are these close, but you just don’t think they are “the one” or could you describe what you don’t like or aren’t sure about with these names? It seems like most of them end with an EE sound.
Like a previous poster, I wonder if you are specifically looking for 2 syllable names, preferably ending in an ‘ee’ sound. I’ll assume not and suggest a few of what I consider to be vintage and uncommon names.
I vote for [name]Mabel[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name]. I like [name]Libby[/name] a lot but I can’t really see it as a stand a lone name. I will name my future daughter [name]Claire[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] and call her [name]Libby[/name] [name]Lou[/name] on occasion though, so I do have to say I like [name]Libby[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Louise[/name], nn [name]Libby[/name] [name]Lou[/name] would be a great option.
Hmm, I with everybody else. [name]Mabel[/name] [name]June[/name] is my pick. It sounds nice and has a great meaning. [name]Libby[/name] [name]Louise[/name] has a great ring to it and I like it, but I prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Louise[/name] and nickname [name]Libby[/name]. [name]Libby[/name] doesn’t age all that well. [name]Ellie[/name] [name]June[/name] is very nice, but the [name]Ellie[/name]/[name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ella[/name] names are so popular right now that it doesn’t hold the same appeal as [name]Mabel[/name] or [name]Libby[/name]. [name]Marlee[/name] is nice, but also kind of trendy. It got really popular really fast and then started to drop. I figure it will keep dropping and will be one of those names that will be considered dated. [name]Arlie[/name] I plainly don’t like. It reminds me of the word gnarly. Not feminine or pleasant.
I love [name]Libby[/name] [name]Louise[/name], although like some other’s have said I would prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Louise[/name]-which is has a lovely ring as well. Since [name]Libby[/name] is typically a nickname I just prefer the full name. If you chose [name]Elizabeth[/name] you could do [name]Ellie[/name] or [name]Libby[/name], maybe give you some extra options if you are stuck.
