What names do you think will be everywhere this next decade??
I think names like Elio, Thiago, Lucia, Alessia, and Zara that are cool and easy to pronounce in multiple languages will be popular in the future. Plenty of top names already fit this criteria (Sofia, Mila, Leo, Mateo) but I think newer, fresher choices will see a big rise.
I also think vintage and nickname names are going to continue to rise in the US, especially since they have celebrity support- like [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. I think these names are more popular in the UK, and I can see the US following suit.
Boys
[name_m]Elio[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
I think will all continue to rise
Girls
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
Yes definitely hearing more of [name_f]Mave[/name_f]!!
Also hearing a lot of [name_f]Lila[/name_f]/Lyla.
Lets see…
For girls, I’m kind of feeling like maybe…
Alice
Beatrice
Clementine
Esme
Freya
Juniper
Mabel
Matilda
Maeve
And for boys…
Atlas
Atticus
Elio
Hugo
Milo
Theodore
Yes omg [name_u]Atlas[/name_u]!! Been seeing this more and more lately.
haha, i just added [name_m]Elio[/name_m] to my list!
and on a personal note i think you just completed my new favourite boy pairing: [name_m]Elio[/name_m] and [name_m]Len[/name_m] as siblings or twins! it is so handsome!
More unusual biblical names/fresh biblical names. We’ve seen it with [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] and [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] racing up to knock down traditional choices like [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and I can see parents continuing to find more unusual names that fit the theme.
Adding
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
Seeing more of [name_f]Clara[/name_f] lately!!
I think:
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
vintage names in general
Probably more spunky names, modern-twist-names. Millennials are having babies right now, they would not want names of their gen or the previous (probably).
Maybe more names honoring civil rights leaders?
I feel like [name_f]Layla[/name_f]/Lila are going to get really popular
