Names Ending in 'n'...?

Our two boys are [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] since my husband is Irish and we wanted their names to be culturally rooted. I’m Finnish so [name_u]Finn[/name_u] was an easy choice.

I am having a hard time deciding what direction to take for our daughter’s name. My name is a classic name so I thought to possibly head in that direction, as my husband absolutely loves the name [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. It’s his favorite name!

I really love [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], but [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_f]CatheRINe[/name_f] is seeming pretty similar. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though they have different amounts of syllables, I can’t help but notice [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_f]RIN[/name_f]. In addition, I wonder if [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is too much since they all end in ‘n’.

Lastly, I’m wondering if their styles are too different.

I think consulting with nameberry is my best option at this point!

While I do think they are similar, I honestly didn’t notice it that much until you pointed it out. I think [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] goes great with your boys’ names!

Thank you very much! I appreciate your thought! I’m going to think about either [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - I’m starting to think the strong-sounding, Celtic origins, of our sons’ names will pair well with classical girl names.

Thank you, again, for your time!

I want to share our name since I have been frazzled for a while! Gosh, I’ve been deliberating over girl names and attempting to find, both, a good flow and style that will compliment her future brothers. Plus, wanting to bring in a family name which surprisingly made me a little frantic.

Whew! I am glad I am at peace with my search, especially because we have a name for a potential fourth child - if it may be a girl, as well.

We have decided on:

[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Viola[/name_f] (honoring, both, her Great Grandma and Two Times Great Grandma with her middle name) - for our girl, who is due in [name_f]October[/name_f].
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] (honoring her Great Grandma’s Great Aunt).

I thought I should share since many of you have been generous and kind with your thoughts and time. This was not my first post!

[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Viola[/name_f] will join her big brothers, [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u]…

[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is a good choice. Very sophisticated and has lots of nicknames.
I think having names with an ‘n’ ending would sound good with [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u].
