Names ending in the C CK sound?

I’m looking for names that end with the ck sound, such as [name]Lark[/name], [name]Kendrick[/name], [name]Brook[/name]…it just seems there aren’t very many out there for girls? I know it’s a pretty strong ending. Any ideas to pass by hubby?

You’re correct. There aren’t many names for girls with the sound you’re looking for. Here are some I can think of at the moment.

[name]Lilac[/name]
[name]Lyric[/name]
[name]Annick[/name]
Merrick
[name]Anouk[/name]
Björk
[name]Aifric[/name]

[name]Felicitas[/name] or [name]Felicity[/name] nicknamed [name]Flick[/name]?
[name]Aifric[/name]

Broadening a little to include the “que” ending:
[name]Angelique[/name]
[name]Dominique[/name]
Véronique

[name]Lilac[/name]
Loric
[name]Lyric[/name]
[name]Anouk[/name]
Björk
Guinevak – [name]Guinevere[/name]'s sister in Arthurian [name]Legend[/name]
[name]Lark[/name]
[name]Brooke[/name]
Serik – love
Janick
[name]Angelique[/name]
[name]Domenique[/name]
[name]Monique[/name]

There really aren’t many, are there? Our children’s name endings go an, an, er, er, c. It wasn’t until recently that I even realized that. We don’t have to make these two a pattern, but I thought I’d look at it at least. I like [name]Lark[/name], Merrick, and [name]Lyric[/name]…Dh ruled out [name]Monique[/name]. I’ll have to run these others by him. I can’t use [name]Brook[/name]. Def. some promising ones, though. THX!

Also, how would you say:

[name]Annick[/name]
Serick
[name]Anouk[/name]

[name]Annick[/name] is [name]ANN[/name]-ick in English and Ahn-EEK in French. I like it; it reminds me of the perfumer [name]Annick[/name] Goutal.

[name]Anouk[/name] is [name]Ah[/name]-NOOK.

[name]Park[/name] is the only one I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned. I like [name]Brooke[/name], but the other nature names ending in this sound don’t sound enough like names to me and this applies to [name]Lyric[/name] also.

There are far more girls’ names that end in -ca ([name]Annika[/name], [name]Danica[/name], [name]Veronica[/name], [name]Jessica[/name], [name]Viveca[/name]), though. They could potentially lead to -c/-ck/-k nicknames if you get creative.

Laverick
Janique
Charmonique
Anique
Andromaque

are the only ones missing I think

I’m not so keen on the a ending (not just for this type of name) but I’ll keep these in mind. We’ll play with these and see. Thx for your help!

What about some names with hard c/k/ck sounds in them?
