Names for a Family of Sisters

[name]Hi[/name] guys! I am writing a story featuring a family with the last name [name]Cortes[/name]. The father is half-Spanish and half-English, and the mother is mostly Scandinavian. The mother and their three daughters are all blonde-haired and blue eyed. I’ve named the mother [name]Emily[/name], and the oldest sister [name]Camila[/name]. I still need names for the father and the two younger sisters, who all have Spanish names.

Father- He is in his late thirties. with brown hair and eyes. He tries to be funny, but of course his daughters don’t think he is. He is outgoing and works in a fairly high-paying traditional job. As a child, he grew up on the [name]East[/name] Coast, but traveled to Spain and [name]England[/name] frequently for vacations. His parents both grew up in [name]America[/name] but his grandparents grew up in Spain and [name]England[/name].

Daughter 1- [name]Camila[/name]- She is smart, and very good at school. Her favorite subject is English, and loves all parts of it- reading, writing, grammar, all of that. Despite being good at school and getting good grades, she isn’t a ‘nerd’- she doesn’t consider school very fun, and vastly prefers her other activities to it. She does swimming and horseback riding, babysits, reads a lot, and volunteers at the library. She is very social, and spends most of her time with her group of friends. She could be popular if she wanted to. She can talk to and get along well with everyone and anyone, but she chose her friends as the people she has the most in common with. When she was younger, she was very similar to her youngest sister. She is 14 and the main character.

Daughter 2- She is one of those kids who is smart, but doesn’t apply herself. She is interested in sports, and plays soccer and basketball, and also swims. She has lots of friends and gets along very well with both her sisters, and is very close to and good friends with her older sister [name]Camila[/name]. She is 13. I want her name to start with A. My first thought was [name]Audra[/name], but I don’t like that for her character. Something with a similar feel and same amount of unusual-ness would be nice. More names I considered for her were [name]Audrey[/name]/[name]Aubrey[/name] and [name]Ashley[/name], but they seemed too common.

Daughter 3- She is very imaginative and loves to play dress up, especially with princesses. She doesn’t let on, but is very intelligent. She has skipped a grade in school and is quite precocious, especially in her understanding of others. She is often off in her own world and isn’t interested in her sisters very much. She often judges their choices but understands them very well. She looks up to [name]Camila[/name], but can be very critical of her other sister, as she thinks she has her focus in the wrong place. She is 7. I want her name to start with N, and I have thought of [name]Nina[/name], which I like a lot, but doesn’t seem quite right. I am open to any names for her, they don’t need to start with N or be Spanish, just sort of capture her essense.

Father - [name]Inigo[/name], [name]Lazlo[/name], [name]Raoul[/name]

Daughter 2 - [name]Audriana[/name], Ameliana

Daughter 3 - [name]Mercedes[/name], [name]Leire[/name] (lay-ray)

For the dad I’m thinking [name]Rodrigo[/name]. I think its a great Spanish name that isn’t so overly done (like [name]Jose[/name], [name]Juan[/name], [name]Roberto[/name],etc) but is totally easy for a reader to understand (With a name like [name]Guillermo[/name], a non-spanish speaking reader may have trouble reading it easily). The other two names I like are [name]Jorge[/name] (pronounced Hor-Hey) and [name]Andres[/name].

For sister number 2: Im thinking that a name like Aleja (the spanish version of [name]Alexis[/name]/[name]Alexa[/name]) is perfect. I think it has the use-fullness that you want, but is a complete and separate entity from [name]Camilla[/name]. It also is kind of a sporty name, which I like.

For sister number three, I think you need a demure and understatedly beautiful name, something like [name]Natalia[/name], [name]Noela[/name], or [name]Noemi[/name]. I think all these names are soft and beautiful and delicate, but powerful at the same time. I especially like [name]Noela[/name].

[name]Alejandra[/name] (middle sister. sort of like a full name for Alej/Aleja)
[name]Nicolasa[/name] (nn [name]Niki[/name]/[name]Nico[/name])

Thanks guys!
I have decided to use [name]Alejandra[/name] nicknamed Aleja for the middle sister. I am still deciding on names for the father and the youngest sister, so keep the suggestions coming!

My first thought for the youngest sister was [name]Mercedes[/name] nicknamed Meche (meh-chay) like one of the main characters in the computer game Grim Fandango.
