Extra details: our last name is distinctly Slavic, and apparently very rare in the USA. It’s two syllables, starts with an S and rhymes with “glad.” I worry about finding names that sound good with it because it’s very different from the style of names that I like, and I don’t want it to feel out of place.
With that in mind, DH and I have talked, and here’s some names we both love:
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillia[/name_f]
[name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
[name_f]Nona[/name_f]
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
We’re both pretty married to the idea of using either [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (MN Fable) or [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f], but worry that they have too many similar sounds to be used in a sibset. I like these pairings for sisters:
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] + [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] + [name_f]Nona[/name_f]
[name_f]Hester[/name_f] + [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
[name_f]Nona[/name_f] + [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillia[/name_f] + [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
So basically: what are your favorite pairs from that list of names? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f] work as sisters? And if you know of any names you think pair nicely with the ones from our list, leave a suggestion! As you’ve likely guessed, we like some of the less common flower names as well as names with U (oo) sounds and L sounds. Thanks!
