We are officially TTC #2, and are thinking about names. Well, actually, I never stopped thinking about names, but now it seems more real
We have a pretty specific naming style, and hope that you brilliant Berries are up for the challenge.
Our DD is [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Grey[/name].
First Name:
must be a feminine name
vintage/quirky/french names a plus, but not required
three syllables preferred, but two is okay
the letter ‘n’ in the name is a plus, as all three of us have 'n’s in the last syllable of our names
prefer a unique ending (not ‘a’ or ‘ie/y’) but not required
not crazy about “rhyming” names with Vivienne, i.e. Lillian, Evelyn, Lucienne, Marianne, etc.
a short spunky nn (like [name]Viv[/name]) is important to my husband, so its a plus, but not required
Middle Name
must be one syllable
must be a ‘word’ name
unisex or even masculine names preferred

[name]Marianne[/name] (This is actually my name, but it is the french version, has the “N” you’re looking for. And is pretty vintage considering it hasn’t been in the top 1000 since the 50s. )
[name]Annette[/name] (French, has the double nn. Not popular. Vintage. nn could be [name]Annie[/name].)
[name]Angeline[/name] (although next to [name]Vivienne[/name], it might be too close of an association with [name]Angelina[/name] [name]Jolie[/name])
[name]Clemence[/name]
[name]Diane[/name] (It is the french variant.)
[name]Genevieve[/name] (I actually think this would sound cute next to [name]Vivienne[/name])
[name]Nanette[/name]
[name]Yvonne[/name] (although I don’t think there would be any nn’s for that)
As for middle names maybe…

@namelover77 [name]West[/name] is one of our favorite middles! I like [name]Adeline[/name], but there are so many Addies, Adelines, Adeleides, and Addisons in [name]Viv[/name]'s playgroup I like [name]Anais[/name] a lot too, but my husband has deemed it “too French” whatever that means.
@anton I hadn’t considered [name]Annette[/name], I like it. I have [name]Colette[/name] on my long list.
You both mentioned [name]Genevieve[/name]… that is one of my husbands favorites. But do you think its nicknames would be to close to [name]Viv[/name]? I don’t care for [name]Gen[/name]/jenny, so it would probably be [name]Evie[/name]. Are [name]Viv[/name] & [name]Eve[/name]/[name]Evie[/name] too close?
@ottilie we love [name]West[/name], and have [name]Fox[/name] as a middle for our boy’s name, but I’ll have to think about it for a girl now. [name]Leontine[/name] was my Great-Grandmothers name, and I think its a beatiful name, but she wasn’t especially nice, so I have to pass Also… I really like your name, [name]Ottilie[/name] is beautiful

lol, well, [name]Bianca[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name] are some of my all time favorites. and I like [name]Daphne[/name] a lot as well.
Though I prefer [name]Fiona[/name] [name]March[/name] and [name]Bianca[/name] [name]Drew[/name]. [name]Bianca[/name] [name]West[/name] is also very cool.
I like [name]Juliette[/name], [name]Colette[/name], [name]Cosette[/name], [name]Odette[/name], a lot.
Your middle names have given me so many new ideas! I love [name]Plum[/name] & [name]Peach[/name], but do you think its weird to have both of my girls with color middle names?
I love [name]Snow[/name], [name]Wild[/name], Brave, [name]Ace[/name], [name]Fox[/name], [name]Jet[/name], [name]North[/name], Glow, [name]Scout[/name], Wave, Dare, and [name]Cove[/name]/[name]Clove[/name] especially.
