Names for daughter #3. Due in a month. The hubs and I would like to settle this

So this is my first post. I have 2 older daughters and was hoping that the third time around I would get to use some of my awesome boy names. But no such luck  So anyways, after several months I have some long lists, but I have been dodging the question of what we’re going to name our daughter because It became quite the bone of contention between the hubs and I as we have completely different naming styles and preferences. I like foreign/rare/slightly odd names and he likes them as plain and common as they can get. ie. [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] etc. But being as we have maybe a month left, it’s time to deal with this.

My oldest is 8 and named [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] (also goes by [name_f]Mia[/name_f]) [name_f]Nicole[/name_f].
My middle is nearly 6 and named [name_f]Anika[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f].
Our last name is one syllable, sounds British, but is also a homophone that can make our name seem very descriptive and wordy.

I hope to retain the [name_m]French[/name_m] sounding middle name or possible make it the first. Also I am not sure whether I want to continue the tradition of starting the first name with an A or not.

Anyways, here are some pairings. I would love to hear what you all think. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to mix and match!

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] (what can I say? It’s my favorite season, I love the name and I’m actually having an [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] baby.)

[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] ([name_f]Lucie[/name_f] has been a top runner for 6 years now and I always thought that if I had another girl, her name would definitely be [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]. Now I’m not sure. Guess I’m a bit indecisive.

[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] ([name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] fulfills the [name_m]French[/name_m] contingent, but also has some sweet nicknames… [name_f]Neve[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], Vivy, [name_f]Eve[/name_f], you get the picture)

[name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Brielle[/name_f] is a shortened form of [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. My grandfather’s middle name was [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]) can’t think of a good middle name to follow it though.

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Lena[/name_f] is my middle name. I always liked it better than my first name

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]

[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Helena[/name_f] is a variation of [name_f]Helen[/name_f], my husband’s late grandmother who raised him.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]

[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ([name_u]Rowan[/name_u] has always been my favorite boys name, a nod to my dad, [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. Not sure how much I really like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] for a girl though. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] would be instead of [name_m]Charles[/name_m] which is both my dad’s and my late brother’s middle name.

I’d go for [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]. It sounds amazing!
I can’t even come up with anything else  x

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f, [name_f]Anika[/name_f] and:

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - love this this [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Anika[/name_f]. I prefer it to [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] simply because you said your surname sounds kinda wordy so it may be too much?

[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] I love primrose as a mn but it maybe too wordy again?
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]. Feels like a bit of a mouthful. Can I suggest [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]? I like that they honor family too.

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] Islas becoming very popular (at least in Aus) which may or may not be an issue.

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] prefer [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f].

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] this more normal name may appeal to hubby perhaps. Not sure it works with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Anika[/name_f] though?
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]. Eh? I prefer the [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] spelling and think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] would be beautiful if you went with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].

[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] or [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]. While I love [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], I think [name_f]Junia[/name_f] could work well in your sibset. It maintains the a ending if the other girls. [name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] would be all kinds of sweet. ([name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] are also cute)

[name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. Not a huge fan personally. Your girls names are so pretty and girly that having a unisex name for the third seems a shame. Not that I’m against unisex at all. [name_u]Roan[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] are on my list for girls. But…
That rules [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] out for me too…

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] pretty. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the nn options.

[name_f]Brielle[/name_f] not my faveriot of your names but [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] or [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] could work.

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] or
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] both work well. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] would also be lovely. Although I prefer [name_f]Helena[/name_f] personally.

[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] love! [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] are also super cute.

Ok so quick top 3
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Anika[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]

Good luck. I hate compromise with my DH too! It’s frustrating but the right name will come.

Thanks Tuitree for your input and thought. Picking a third girl’s name is daunting to say the least. Everyone I know is asking me whether or not I’ve chosen a name yet.

I’d really like to pick one soon and try not to leave it to the last minute this time around. My oldest daughter’s name was chosen 3 hours after her birth and my second was named on the 20 minute drive to the hospital while in full on labor. Meanwhile, this poor child goes by her nickname, which was taken from a froyo place we were at when we told her sisters we were pregnant.

Please help Berries! I am open to suggestions!

My first thought was another A name; with [name_f]Annika[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], you wouldn’t want your youngest to be left out. I like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Here are my favorite combos:

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

I’m trying to imagine what that nickname might be and totally making myself lol… “Li’l baby [name_u]Orange[/name_u] [name_u]Leaf[/name_u].”

I think [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] is totally cute, though [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] may fit better with your sibset and maybe your hubby would like it better since he’s not so into the unique names.
