So this is my first post. I have 2 older daughters and was hoping that the third time around I would get to use some of my awesome boy names. But no such luck
So anyways, after several months I have some long lists, but I have been dodging the question of what we’re going to name our daughter because It became quite the bone of contention between the hubs and I as we have completely different naming styles and preferences. I like foreign/rare/slightly odd names and he likes them as plain and common as they can get. ie. [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] etc. But being as we have maybe a month left, it’s time to deal with this.
My oldest is 8 and named [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] (also goes by [name_f]Mia[/name_f]) [name_f]Nicole[/name_f].
My middle is nearly 6 and named [name_f]Anika[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f].
Our last name is one syllable, sounds British, but is also a homophone that can make our name seem very descriptive and wordy.
I hope to retain the [name_m]French[/name_m] sounding middle name or possible make it the first. Also I am not sure whether I want to continue the tradition of starting the first name with an A or not.
Anyways, here are some pairings. I would love to hear what you all think. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to mix and match!
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] (what can I say? It’s my favorite season, I love the name and I’m actually having an [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] baby.)
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] ([name_f]Lucie[/name_f] has been a top runner for 6 years now and I always thought that if I had another girl, her name would definitely be [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]. Now I’m not sure. Guess I’m a bit indecisive.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_u]Bailey[/name_u]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Plum[/name_f]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] ([name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] fulfills the [name_m]French[/name_m] contingent, but also has some sweet nicknames… [name_f]Neve[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], Vivy, [name_f]Eve[/name_f], you get the picture)
[name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Brielle[/name_f] is a shortened form of [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. My grandfather’s middle name was [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]) can’t think of a good middle name to follow it though.
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Lena[/name_f] is my middle name. I always liked it better than my first name ![]()
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Helena[/name_f] is a variation of [name_f]Helen[/name_f], my husband’s late grandmother who raised him.
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ([name_u]Rowan[/name_u] has always been my favorite boys name, a nod to my dad, [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. Not sure how much I really like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] for a girl though. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] would be instead of [name_m]Charles[/name_m] which is both my dad’s and my late brother’s middle name.
