[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries! So, a few weeks ago I got the confirmation that I’m expecting a baby girl and thought it would be better to start getting serious about names. As you can see I have several combinations on my signature so it would be fantastic to get some feedback on them and also suggestions of how I could mix the names below up or get suggestions of other names you think I might like. At this point my mind is very open and my tastes are very eclectic so fire away, please!
Oh wow, I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. But I also think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] might be too close to [name_m]Felix[/name_m] in sound to use as a first name! It’s up to you to decide whether that feels like a dealbreaker. I might cross [name_f]Flora[/name_f] off for similar repeating sound reasons, but then I’m pretty picky about that sort of thing. Minus those two, my favorite of your combos is [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f]! So dainty.
More ideas:
[name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Carolina[/name_f]

[name_f]Susanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] is fun and I like it with [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is cute too.
Ideas:
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]

[name_f]Greer[/name_f]
[name_f]Tinley[/name_f]
[name_u]Ember[/name_u]
The sister of [name_m]Felix[/name_m] was called [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], but this was many years ago.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] is adorable!
Congratulations!
Oh my I love your list They are quite perfect as is but I would also like [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. My favorites are [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f].
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Phaedra[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f]
[name_f]Vittoria[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]! My second choice would be [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], but I think the sound is too close to [name_m]Felix[/name_m].
Combos:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Araminta[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] Whilhelmina
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is wonderful!
I adore [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and think [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] are darling together!!!
Tbh I don’t even have any other suggestions for you at this time because that names seems so perfect.
From your list I love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] with [name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Junia[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Marissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_f]Tilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Alma[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you find your perfect name
I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] a lot with [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. I think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] sounds too much like [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] just feels like a mismatch with [name_m]Felix[/name_m].
My favourite is [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] too, but I have a personal preference to not have siblings start with the same letter.
I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], but [name_m]Felix[/name_m] & [name_f]Pheobe[/name_f] are too close, as are [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. I don’t like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Mable[/name_f]…they are very old-ladyish to me as my grandmother had friends with these names. (She was born in 1905).
I love [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] and it works well with [name_m]Felix[/name_m], very classy!! But I don’t like [name_f]Luna[/name_f] with it. The double A endings don’t seem to work. I also think that for [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] to be fully pronounced in all it’s glory and beauty, it needs to be paired with a hard consonant middle name…for example [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] (not suggesting these). When paired with a soft consonant as in [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]…[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]…the end of [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] just blends into the middle name.
Hello berries, so sorry for just getting back to you now. [name_f]April[/name_f] 15th was my son [name_m]Felix[/name_m]'s 4th birthday, and this week has barely started and already a bunch of important work meetings and assignments… woo!
Now on to MY name feedback:
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]: Yes, I absolutely get where most of you are coming from in that [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is far too similar in sound to [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. I guess that unfortunately means crossing it off from the list of potential first names.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]: I understand that matching initials are not everyone’s cup of tea, but I don’t think [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] are too similar in sound at all. In fact, I find that when I call [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and afterward [name_f]Flora[/name_f] or even just say them in a sentence it feels perfectly comfortable, pleasant and easy. Still on the list and a strong contender!
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] but on [name_m]Felix[/name_m]'s birthday, my cousin who I’m very close to and is 7 months pregnant told me that [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is the name she and her husband picked out for their baby girl, which honors her grandmother. As much as I would love to have a daughter named [name_f]Alice[/name_f], it’ll be wonderful enough to have a sweet little cousin with this name.
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]: Still in the game and one of my absolute favorite names. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is my main combo, but I loved the suggestion of [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (combining two absolute favorites).
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]: I love this name because of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] Cather’s “My [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]”, but I still can’t imagine myself mommy to an [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]…
I guess this all leaves me with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] as current frontrunners for [name_m]Felix[/name_m]'s sister, though I have been taking note of the wonderful suggestions you guys have made so far. At first look, I really love the idea of [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], [name_f]Alma[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Adele[/name_f].
Thank you all for taking the time to share your opinions and suggestions with me!
