Names for the Womb Mates

Hey Nameberries!

Would love feedback on names for our boy/girl twins arriving this fall.
Older siblings are [name_u]Reed[/name_u] [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] and [name_m]Crew[/name_m] [name_u]Parker[/name_u]…last name is two syllables and begins with F.

Considering…
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]…trying to find a boy name that fits with [name_f]Iris[/name_f].

Maybe [name_m]Adler[/name_m] [name_u]Everest[/name_u] or [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] or [name_u]Jet[/name_u]? Open to suggestions. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] but too close to [name_f]Iris[/name_f]…

Also like [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] Lyndee (my mothers name was [name_f]Linda[/name_f]) and [name_m]Tanner[/name_m] or [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_u]Logan[/name_u]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_m]Ryder[/name_m]
[name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]

Would love feedback, not sure whether to match initials or just make sure they compliment each other…
Thanks Nameberries!

I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f]!
What about…
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Phaedra[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Lillith[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] Artemia
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
(to go better with your boy’s names)

I find [name_u]Everett[/name_u] a bit long with your boys’ names.

I really love [name_m]Adler[/name_m] and [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] for you!
Some boy’s middle suggestions:
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_u]Paxton[/name_u], [name_u]Onyx[/name_u], [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m], [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]

I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] for you.

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_m]Teague[/name_m]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_m]Torin[/name_m]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_m]Zane[/name_m]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_u]Shane[/name_u]

I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] are a nice match, I think—both vintage revivals. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Jet[/name_u] work well to me too, and I like that I and J are next to each other in the alphabet.

You could go with another nature-y name to match [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Linden[/name_u] (for a nod to your mother)? [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m]? [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Gray[/name_u]? [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]? [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Orion[/name_u]?

Other ideas:

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]

As a pharmacist I prefer for twins to not have names that are really close together…I actually prefer them not to share the same first letter. I’ve seen medical errors where their medications get put in under the wrong twin since we rely on date of birth, address, and name…you want to at least make the names not look exactly the same! Not such a big deal if its amoxicillin, but it was a big deal when twins seizure meds got confused.

I think you can use any nature-like name and it will fit in nicely style-wise with [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. I really like [name_u]Everest[/name_u]. Maybe [name_u]Rio[/name_u] or [name_m]Stone[/name_m]?

My brothers are twins, and when my parents were choosing their names it was important to them not to pick anything too matchy in sound/initials (though they match ok in style.) I think it helps give twins that all-important sense of individuality when they don’t have the same first initial! It’s a lot more useful for their names to complement each other in a more general sense since they’ll be said out loud together a lot.

Lyndee is cute, but I personally would spell it [name_f]Lindie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lindy[/name_f] to make it simpler/less trendy/closer to [name_f]Linda[/name_f]. [name_u]Linden[/name_u] would be another cool way to honor [name_f]Linda[/name_f] that could work for a boy or a girl.

I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] would go really well together! [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is my favorite of your girls’ options because it’s the only one that feels as unique, snappy, and cool as [name_m]Crew[/name_m] and [name_u]Reed[/name_u].

If not [name_u]Everett[/name_u], I like the idea of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Jet[/name_u] with [name_m]Crew[/name_m] and [name_u]Reed[/name_u], too. All of your MN options for [name_f]Iris[/name_f] flow very well. My pick would probably be [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_u]Linden[/name_u]. Best of luck choosing!

I would say no to sharing the first initial.

My vote is for [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]! (My favorite spelling.)

I like the suggestions of [name_u]Rio[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u].

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_u]Rio[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]

[name_u]Reed[/name_u], [name_m]Crew[/name_m], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and [name_u]Rio[/name_u].
[name_u]Reed[/name_u], [name_m]Crew[/name_m], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u].

I really like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_m]Adler[/name_m] together - they’re not usually names I’d pair but there’s something about [name_m]Adler[/name_m] that makes him look very classic but still feel modern and totally in line with reed and crew.
As for iris combos, my favourite is iris [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. Such a beautiful name!

I’d go [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_u]Max[/name_u]. [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] , [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] would be great

As a twin, let me suggest that you not match initials. Twins get lumped together a lot. It seems that people have a hard time looking at them as individuals. They are already a pair; help them be individuals, as you would with any other two siblings. Other than that, I’d say you have a nice group of names. Good luck choosing one.
