[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, this is my first time posting on this board. I’m expecting two baby boys within the month. We’ve decided that the names of the boys grandfathers will be the twins’ middle names. MN [name_m]Philip[/name_m] and [name_m]Dino[/name_m].
My favorite name so far is [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m]. As for his brother I’m not so sure. My current thoughts are :
[name_m]Forest[/name_m] [name_m]Dino[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Dino[/name_m]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Dino[/name_m]
I like names that are a bit different but not unheard of. Any thoughts on these names or new suggestions that pair well with [name_m]Archer[/name_m]?
The boys also have a 4yo big sister named [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f].
I think my favorite out of your current choices is [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Dino[/name_m]. I think it fits [name_m]Archer[/name_m] the best stylistically.
I think if one twin is having an A name, the other probably should too so you’ve got all three kids with the same letter.
So I would go for Archer Philip and August Dino (Archie & Gus), as endorsed above. I like Atlas, probably more than August actually, but it’s too much with Dino if you’re looking for the perfect combo (which I don’t think should be the goal so if it’s the fave, you should go for it). Other A names: Axel, Alfred, Albert, Anton, Abbott, Alasdair/ Allister, Ambrose.
Otherwise, I would go for two non-A names. Of the ones suggested, I really like Griffin, Jasper, Rufus, Jude or Rowan. Otherwise, maybe Curtis, Elliot (with Dino), Magnus, Bastien, Callan or Simon.
I’m going to second [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_u]August[/name_u] as [name_m]Archie[/name_m] and [name_u]Gus[/name_u] is stunning! Congratulations!
Thanks for your input everyone. I really do like the name [name_u]August[/name_u]. I’m wondering what you all make of someone named [name_u]August[/name_u] who is to be born in [name_u]January[/name_u]? Is it a non issue or a bit of an eyebrow raise? That is one of the reasons I’ve been hesitant about committing to the name.
I had twin boys in July! You’re in for a lot of fun. I wouldn’t worry too much about naming him August when he’s born in January. August is a great name with a great meaning in its own right and can be taken as a “word” name instead of a month name if you like. I agree with previous posts that he should probably have an “A” name since your daughter does as well.
Archer and August or Archer and Atlas. They have different feels to them so it depends on what you’re going for. August is a bit more common than Atlas and kind of brings Archer down to earth while Atlas and Archer together make me think of mythology with Archer being Artemis or Orion and Atlas the titan.
Personally, I prefer Azalea, Archer and Atlas.

dont worry about the [name_u]January[/name_u] thing- its not something you will even think of again after they are born and have personalities! good luck with the twins!!
I like [name_m]Dino[/name_m] better as a first name. I suppose I’d suggest Achton [name_m]Dino[/name_m] since you have a them going though. [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and Achton seem to go well together.
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Dino[/name_m] sounds like the name Agostinho. I like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Dino[/name_m] or [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Dino[/name_m]. I like all three names though.
