Names for two twentysomethings, modern day?

I’m writing a quick little 2000 - word short story more for myself than anyone else, and unlike the usual I am totally stuck for names. I want to try something different, as I have a very set naming style ([name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f], and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] are some of my more tame examples, with [name_f]Verita[/name_f], [name_f]Fidele[/name_f] and [name_f]Drusilla[/name_f] being some more outlandish choices).

Anyway, this story centers around two female roommates in their early 20s on vacation in Iceland. Character #1 is really lanky and strong, used to be an athelete. She’s confident, protective, and slightly pushy but knows Character #2 well enough not to go too far in taking risks. Her parents were nomadic artists, meeting in [name_m]Berlin[/name_m] or someplace, that ended up craving suburban sameness and settling down at around 30 years old.

Character #2 is smaller and curvy, I keep picturing her as Hispanic but that’s not a given by any means. She’s reserved and likes talking about events and planning to the point where one of her biggest anxieties is too much spontaneity. She has a bit of fire in her as well, though, and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. Her parents married a bit young and are pretty conservative, but not super set in tradition. She’s trying to break away from the mold her parents set and live a little before she settles down.

I want something normal-sounding and relatively familiar/popular for both of them, some suggestions but not all with consonant endings. First is all I really need, but middle may be useful. Name away, and thanks in advance!

Here are some names that were popular around 1995:
