theres quite a few Hebrew names as I was looking under the surname [name_u]Cohen[/name_u] for a while. If anyone has any extra info on some of these names and their origins/pronunciations/popularity today i’d be really interested to hear them!!
[name_f]Queenie[/name_f] Beatrice… [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f].
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is very… purple.
[name_u]Kitty[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I’m pretty sure [name_u]Kitty[/name_u] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] are nicknames for one name.
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_u]Ivy[/name_u] is beautiful.
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_u]Ivy[/name_u] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Lavender!!
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is very purple but still beautiful!!!
[name_u]William[/name_u] [name_u]Leander[/name_u], [name_m]Allen[/name_m] [name_f]Verity[/name_f], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Aloysius[/name_m], [name_u]Revel[/name_u] [name_m]Ernest[/name_m], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_u]Ivy[/name_u], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_u]Honor[/name_u], [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_u]Vida[/name_u] [name_u]Joan[/name_u], [name_m]Montague[/name_m] [name_u]Davis[/name_u] → I group all these together because they give off ‘Nameberry combo’ vibes
[name_f]Simmie[/name_f] is cute - though if it’s a feminine diminutive of [name_m]Simon[/name_m] or [name_m]Simeon[/name_m], does that make it Sim-ee or Sye-mee
[name_f]Honoria[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u] has such grandeur, [name_u]Florence[/name_u] [name_f]Yetta[/name_f] is cute, [name_f]Elvenia[/name_f] is mystical and interesting, and I’m intrigued by Mabes and Marigo! Enjoying seeing [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m], [name_u]Revel[/name_u], Aylwin, [name_m]Tristam[/name_m], [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m], Rinnian and Sylvio
@Greyblue i definitely agree that those ones have very ‘berry’ vibes!!
I like [name_f]Simmie[/name_f] too, she’s so sweet. I’m assuming its [name_m]Sim[/name_m] rather than [name_m]Syme[/name_m] just because of the double ‘m’? would be interesting to know for sure though.
I really like Marigo I had to double check it so many times to see if it was actually [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] but nope just Marigo!!
For the boys, I loveee [name_u]Revel[/name_u] [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] (I think [name_u]Revel[/name_u] is a super cool underused unisex name!!), and Rainford seems it would fit in well with trendy names today!!
For the girls, [name_f]Honoria[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u] is lovely! I also kinda like [name_f]Gelsomina[/name_f] () and think [name_u]Kitty[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is pretty funny!!
The two names that popped out to me were [name_u]Revel[/name_u] and [name_f]Malley[/name_f], very interesting choices. [name_u]Kitty[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is too cute for words, of course I would never name a child that but how adorable. Sylvio is kind of dashing isn’t it? Intriguing list of names here.
[name_u]William[/name_u] [name_u]Leander[/name_u] and [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Constantine[/name_u] are so cool! [name_m]Classic[/name_m] yet bold.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_u]Honor[/name_u], [name_f]Rifka[/name_f], [name_f]Malley[/name_f], [name_u]Simcha[/name_u], and [name_u]Florence[/name_u] [name_f]Yetta[/name_f] are my favorites for the girls! [name_f]Simmie[/name_f] is also cute (maybe a nickname for Simcha?). [name_f]Malley[/name_f], [name_f]Simmie[/name_f], and [name_f]Yetta[/name_f] are all new to me and I like them a lot.
I think my rop threes are [name_u]William[/name_u] [name_u]Leander[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] and [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], [name_u]Florence[/name_u] [name_f]Yetta[/name_f], [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_u]Ivy[/name_u].
[name_u]Kitty[/name_u] [name_f]Cat[/name_f] could have been intentional, though It’s most likely a coincidence.
I think some people do use names that make a phrase (I knew a girl whose first name and first syllable of her surname made the phrase [name_u]Sky[/name_u] High. This was most likely a coincidence)
[name_u]Windsor[/name_u], [name_m]Montague[/name_m] [name_u]Davis[/name_u], [name_m]Hilton[/name_m] [name_m]Swift[/name_m], [name_m]Wilkinson[/name_m] Rowell, [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Aloysius[/name_m], and [name_m]Melville[/name_m] I’m really loving for boys! All names I’ve never considered before and some I’ve never even heard.
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] Belvina, [name_f]Madge[/name_f] Gazelee, [name_u]Vida[/name_u] [name_u]Joan[/name_u], [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_u]Florence[/name_u] [name_f]Yetta[/name_f], [name_u]Kitty[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and nelleita [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are all beautiful girl names!
[name_f]Simmie[/name_f] is prounounced as [name_m]Sim[/name_m] with ie on the end. I used to watch a programme with a [name_f]Simmie[/name_f] in it. I do love [name_u]Simone[/name_u] though and [name_f]Simmie[/name_f] makes for a wonderful nickname.
