I’m reading “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood” from the Outlander series. My favorite names from the series are [name_u]Jem[/name_u] (nn for [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]), [name_u]James[/name_u]/[name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_m]Henri[/name_m]-[name_m]Christian[/name_m], [name_m]Ian[/name_m], [name_f]Dottie[/name_f], Felicite, and [name_f]Rachel[/name_f].
Other notables include Marsali, [name_m]Fergus[/name_m], [name_m]Denzell[/name_m], and [name_m]Germain[/name_m]. There are somewhat dated names, too: [name_f]Brianna[/name_f], [name_f]Mandy[/name_f], [name_m]Roger[/name_m], [name_f]Janet[/name_f], etc.
I’m currently reading two books, The Paying Guests by [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] Waters, and [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_u]Green[/name_u] by [name_f]Kerstin[/name_f] Gier.
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_u]Green[/name_u] is actually a [name_m]German[/name_m] book translated into English, but it’s set in [name_f]England[/name_f]. There’s a lot of really fascinating names, including:
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] - the main character. In [name_m]German[/name_m] her name is [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], but they changed it to [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] in the English translation because [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] is unpopular in [name_f]England[/name_f] currently, apparently.
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_f]Arista[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
[name_u]Lesley[/name_u]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_u]Nick[/name_u]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_m]Falk[/name_m]
[name_f]Glenda[/name_f]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
The Paying Guests:
[name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilian[/name_f] (nicknamed variously: [name_f]Lil[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f])
[name_m]Leonard[/name_m] (nicknamed [name_m]Len[/name_m])
[name_f]Christina[/name_f] (edited to add - she’s called [name_f]Chrissy[/name_f] most of the time)
[name_u]Stevie[/name_u]
[name_u]Noel[/name_u]
[name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] (his full name)
There are probably a lot more, but that’s all I can recall for now!
[name_u]Nick[/name_u] - strong name [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f]
Go - nn for [name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_m]Rand[/name_m]
[name_u]Desi[/name_u]
[name_f]Marybeth[/name_f]
[name_m]Tanner[/name_m]
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
Fun! But I am not currently reading anything haven’t in a little while lol. But I’m sitting next to like a 100 childrens books, so I grabbed a few random ones and skimmed through, found some names…
I’ve been reading Game of Thrones so a few of the names I really love from that series are
[name_f]Sansa[/name_f]
[name_u]Arya[/name_u]
Rickon
[name_f]Daenerys[/name_f]
[name_m]Jon[/name_m] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] (my husbands name is [name_m]John[/name_m], so he said he would actually let this one slide xD )
Lyanna
[name_m]Tyrion[/name_m]
[name_u]Shae[/name_u]
[name_u]Jaime[/name_u]
I also read If I Stay and I love the name [name_f]Mia[/name_f] although it is pretty common. I’m a huge book nerd and own about 1,500 books so I usually get a few names from each book I read. SO many options!
I’ve just finished Fight Club by [name_m]Chuck[/name_m] Palahniuk. I love Fight Club the film, so after re-watching it for the millionth time I decided I need to read the book, lol. It’s not as popular as the film, but I found it just as fascinating and also the ending is different. Anyway, there are not much names in the novel, we never learn the Narrator’s name, other main characters are [name_f]Marla[/name_f] and [name_u]Tyler[/name_u].
I just finished reading the Throne of Glass series by [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] J [name_m]Maas[/name_m], well, finished the books that’s are out, and there are some really nice names in it…

[name_m]Parnell[/name_m]
[name_m]Anthony[/name_m]

Derwent
Heyden
[name_m]Charles[/name_m]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
Females
[name_f]Evy[/name_f]
[name_f]Katie[/name_f] - short for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
Arcilla
[name_f]Eloisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
Recently re-read a YA novel that I absolutely loved when I was a teenager, it was my favourite book (still really love it actually :D).
The main character’s name is [name_m]Tycho[/name_m], which I think is rather unique. The other main character is [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] - and I’m too lazy to look through the book for other names right now.
