Names hubby has agreed he likes, finally, advice please!

We’re expecting baby #2 in Nov., we find out whether its a he/she in 3 weeks, & would like names picked by then. Our daughter’s name is [name]Dixie[/name] [name]Mae[/name] & the name we have picked if its a girl is [name]Hartley[/name] [name]Rae[/name]. Here are the boys names we like any advice or even other name suggestions are appreciated!

[name]Joe[/name] [name]Banks[/name]
[name]Joe[/name] [name]Brice[/name]
[name]Remy[/name] [name]Joe[/name]
[name]Colton[/name] [name]Joe[/name]

I think [name]Colton[/name] is a great fit with [name]Dixie[/name]. [name]How[/name] about [name]Hart[/name], [name]Brick[/name], [name]Coy[/name], [name]Cord[/name], [name]Cort[/name], [name]Duke[/name], [name]Rex[/name], [name]Wyatt[/name]…

[name]Adore[/name] [name]Colton[/name]!

[name]Colton[/name] [name]Joe[/name] is great

[name]Joe[/name] [name]Banks[/name] - I like [name]Joe[/name], but I’m not sure about [name]Banks[/name] as a name - [name]Joe[/name] [name]Banks[/name] sounds like a money company.
[name]Joe[/name] [name]Brice[/name] - Like this, though I prefer the [name]Bryce[/name] spelling.
[name]Remy[/name] [name]Joe[/name] - [name]Remy[/name]'s cute, I like this too.
[name]Colton[/name] [name]Joe[/name] - Not keen on [name]Colton[/name] but I agree that it goes with [name]Dixie[/name] well, it’s got that southern feel to it.

I think [name]Colton[/name] sounds really cute, and I have to say my favorite is [name]Colton[/name] [name]Brice[/name] ([name]Bryce[/name]).

I like [name]Colton[/name] best of those options, especially paired with [name]Dixie[/name].

I love [name]Joseph[/name]. But [name]Joe[/name] seems kind of informal all on its own. If it was “[name]Joseph[/name] [name]Bryce[/name]”…I think I could definitely get behind that name.

[name]Colton[/name] [name]Joe[/name] or [name]Colton[/name] [name]Brice[/name]! I could also get behind [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Brice[/name]/[name]Bryce[/name], but [name]Joe[/name] looks too casual and nicknamey to me. I know there’s an argument for naming your kid what you plan to call him, but if everyone assumes that nicknamey name is short for something, I don’t think that makes life any easier…
But [name]Colton[/name] and [name]Dixie[/name] are a great pair any way you look at them!

Thanks y’all! [name]Joe[/name], was my husband’s deceased father’s middle name. Since we’ve both agreed not to use his first name he is firm that it be [name]Joe[/name]. @ mylittleking I loved [name]Wyatt[/name], but hubby quickly shot it down. :frowning: @essjay That is what I was afraid of with [name]Banks[/name], hubby’s pick, thanks for your input.

Have to agree on the above comments that [name]Colton[/name] matches wonderfully with [name]Dixie[/name]. My taste would lean towards [name]Joe[/name] in other circumstances but [name]Colton[/name] [name]Joe[/name] is a wonderful choice.

I think [name]Joe[/name] [name]Bryce[/name] is nice. I agree with other posters that [name]Colton[/name] is a good match with [name]Dixie[/name] and a good name. This could be good or bad, but the [name]Colton[/name] [name]Joe[/name] combination makes me think of Joltin’ [name]Joe[/name] DiMaggio and the [name]Simon[/name] and Garfunkel song.

I really like [name]Colton[/name] and [name]Remy[/name]!

My favorite combo = [name]Colton[/name] [name]Banks[/name].
I think [name]Colton[/name] & [name]Dixie[/name] (love, btw!) would make a great sibset! I know a young man named [name]Banks[/name] (although it is ‘officially’ his middle name, I have known him to be called solely by his mn since we were both children; he is a “[name]Jr[/name]” so was given his father’s first name but no one calls him by it…). Anyway, I think it’s a very handsome name on a boy and rarely heard.

I think [name]Joe[/name] [name]Wyatt[/name] would be better than the ones you have suggested. Or [name]Wyatt[/name] [name]Joe[/name]. And [name]Jackson[/name] is a southern-sounding name also. [name]Joe[/name] [name]Jackson[/name], [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Wyatt[/name], [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Joe[/name].
However, out of the list, I like [name]Colton[/name] the best, except not with [name]Joe[/name] as a middle name.
