My husband and I agree on one name, [name]Colin[/name], though neither of us are “in love” with the name. I could use some help finding some new suggestions. The baby will have a very Irish ly last name.
I think our hesitation come with name having an easy one syllable nickname (we both do)
We both seem drawn to C names, though certainly not married to them, me more Irish/ Northern European influence and he more of what I would consider “Western” or “Cowboy” names.
Names I like
[name]Casper[/name] (my second choice name)
[name]Cillian[/name]/[name]Killian[/name]
[name]Colin[/name]
[name]Conan[/name] (my first choice name)
[name]Conrad[/name]
[name]Damian[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]Euan[/name]
[name]Owen[/name]
Names my DH likes
[name]Caden[/name]

[name]Cale[/name]
[name]Caleb[/name]
[name]Callen[/name]
Campion (his first choice)
[name]Case[/name]
[name]Cassian[/name] (this might work for me since it is similar to [name]Casper[/name], but its not [name]Casper[/name] )
[name]Cian[/name]
[name]Cole[/name]
[name]Colin[/name]
[name]Connor[/name]
[name]McCoy[/name]
McKay (his second choice)
[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Miller[/name]
“[name]Connor[/name]” was going to be my gut response, but I see it’s already on your husband’s list. I’m surprised you don’t like it given it’s similarity to [name]Conan[/name], your top choice! But if it does nothing for you, how about:
In addition to some names people have already suggested, [name]Gavin[/name] immediately sprung to mind as a possible option. Also, [name]Sebastian[/name] - but that might be a bit more name than you’re looking for.
Campion is so cool! As Is your second choice, [name]Casper[/name] (not [name]Caspar[/name]?).
What are your objections to Campion, and your husbands to [name]Casper[/name]?
Honestly, Campion is a show-stopper for me. It is a fairly strong Catholic style statement for those in the know, but I’m not sure the average [name]Joe[/name] wold make that connection. Instead they’d focus on the slick aesthetics and the way it stands out but still fits in with current trends.
