Names in a Dream

Last name a name predominantly featured in my dream.

I was in a large room and my twins were playing on the floor and as I walked closer I noticed that there was three babies instead of two, all dressed alike, all the same sized brunette babies. I found the baby that was not mine, and swung open the door of the room, yelling out into the crowded hallway for [name]Brielle[/name]'s mother to come and gather her child, " Come and take your [name]Brielle[/name]! Did you think I wouldn’t notice?! Placing your child in with mine, like a cuckoo bird, wanting me to care for your offspring!" Etc.

I woke wondering why the dream contained the name [name]Brielle[/name] so clearly.

I imagine someone has a lovely “My son’s name came to me in a dream” story they would like to share.

Any strange name dreams you would like to share?

My sister [name]Rose[/name]'s name was chosen because of a dream my mom had. She was in a garden, surrounded by millions of flowers, but one was glowing brighter than the rest–a rose. My mom instantly loved the name and both my parents thought it matched my name ([name]Eva[/name]) perfectly. So, my sister was named [name]Rose[/name]. Now we mostly call her [name]Rosie[/name], [name]Ro[/name], or [name]Ro[/name] [name]Ro[/name] [name]Ro[/name] Your Boat.

I had a dream once that I had two little girls named [name]Jade[/name] and [name]Luna[/name]. It was really strange dream, I can’t even explain it. I think I had it because the day before I had been looking at baby pictures of myself and the girls looked just like me when I was younger. I had never even considered the names [name]Jade[/name] and [name]Luna[/name] before but now I kinda like them!

I was named [name]Kaitlin[/name] because my dad had a dream that my mom gave birth to a girl with lots of dark hair and they named her [name]Kaitlin[/name] (I was a gender surprise). Lo and behold I was born with lots of dark hair, so that was my name. It was in consideration before but that bumped it to the top, I guess. Still a fun story to tell people

Haha, my friend’s mom had a dream that they had a son named [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]. Of course, they instantly started trying for a baby so they could have their little [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] but lo and behold - they’ve had all girls since that dream. :3

For the last 7+ years I have had multiple recurring dreams that consisted of the same set of people, different scenario. Lol.

Either I was married to a guy named [name]Gabriel[/name] and we had twin boys named [name]Nicholas[/name] ([name]Nico[/name]) and [name]Micah[/name] ([name]Cai[/name]).

Or I was married to a guy named [name]Gabriel[/name] who had a son name [name]Micah[/name], and I had a son named [name]Nicholas[/name] (sometimes vice-verse).

[name]Even[/name] if children were not involved, I was still with a guy named [name]Gabriel[/name] and his brothers were named [name]Nicholas[/name] and [name]Micah[/name]. Or a brother with one of the names and his nephew with the other. Lol

I had a dream that I had a daughter named [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]. Fine name, I suppose, it was just weird how I got there. She literally looked like a ragdoll, lol, with the crazy thick black yarn hair, and much as I wanted to use all my favorites (I couldn’t even remember half my favorites, haha), I just couldn’t waste [name]Isabelle[/name] or [name]Arianne[/name] on a ragdoll! I don’t know where I get these dreams from, lol. Finally I decided [name]Josephine[/name] nn [name]Josie[/name] would fit her, and I picked [name]Ruth[/name] for my grandmother.

Erm, I had another dream where I named a daughter [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Rachel[/name], but then I had THE worst name regret, as soon as I signed the paperwork I knew without a doubt that she was a [name]Rachel[/name], not an [name]Elizabeth[/name], so I was finally to the point where I was going to change her name to [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], and then I woke up. I was so mad I didn’t get a chance to change her name, lol.

I had another dream where I adopted these two sisters from my church, changed their names from [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Kylee[/name] to [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Kaia[/name] (nns [name]Laney[/name] and [name]Kai[/name] still), because [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Kylee[/name] just wouldn’t fit with [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], or [name]Caleb[/name] at all… That whole dream was really weird, though, haha.

I had a dream where I was a surrogate, too, but I don’t remember the name they picked for that baby.

Most name dreams don’t affect me at all, lol. The only one that really did was [name]Josephine[/name]–that dream put me off of [name]Josephine[/name] for years!

My son was named from a dream I had when I was about 9 weeks along. I was driving with my sister, and kept looking in the rear view mirror at the car seat in the back. My sister was referring to the baby as [name]Caleb[/name]. When I told the baby’s father the next day, he fell in love, hard, with the name. As soon as we found out the gender 8 weeks later, there was no deterring him. We used a K for my mother, [name]Katharine[/name], who has always been clear about her name being spelled with a K, not a C. Six years later, he is still the perfect [name]Kaleb[/name].
