I am looking for names that are in the same style as my niece’s name, [name_f]India[/name_f]. I’m not really sure what style her name would even be considered but what names do you think have the same feel to them? I don’t want the names to be too close to her name, though! We do not know the sex so names for both would be greatly appreciated!
Hmm, now that I think about it, I’m not sure what “style” [name_f]India[/name_f] would be considered either.
Modern(-sounding) and spunky, maybe. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like any of these?
Those were the sort of styles I was thinking of as well
I like [name_f]Aria[/name_f], [name_f]Suvi[/name_f], [name_f]Zara[/name_f], [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Freya[/name_f], Paloma, [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f], and [name_f]Laurel[/name_f]! I just realized I didn’t specify but we don’t know the sex of the baby at this time so names for both would be amazing!
The PPs made some great suggestions. Whenever I hear [name_f]India[/name_f], I always thinks of [name_f]Saffron[/name_f] and Amaranth/Amaranthe/[name_f]Amarantha[/name_f]
You said that [name_f]India[/name_f] is your niece… are you looking for a name for another niece (or a nephew), or for a child of your own? [name_m]Just[/name_m] curious

No problem! I’ve never heard of someone trying to find a name that goes well with their niece’s but that’s really sweet Or is [name_f]India[/name_f] just an example of a name you like? I like [name_f]India[/name_f] myself, but it causes a lot of controversy here on Nameberry- if you don’t mind my asking, has your niece or her parents had any problems with it?
It’s a little of both! My boyfriend and I love her name but she is also my boyfriend’s Goddaughter. Since she is such a big part of our lives we do kind of want their names to have a similar feel to them. As far as I’m aware they’ve never had any issues with her name and when I’ve been with her and people ask me I’ve never had any issues. But then again, they could say something when we’re not there! We sometimes call her [name_f]Indie[/name_f] for short
What are your opinions on [name_m]Archie[/name_m]? My boyfriend suggested it and I think it’s cute but can it be used as a full name or is it better suited as a nickname?
