Names like Bellamy?

I really like the name [name]Bellamy[/name] for a girl, but I’ve yet to convince my husband on it. I like the idea of a unisex name and a cute feminine nickname like [name]Bell[/name]. Can you think of any more like that?

These aren’t unisex but they have the same whimsical story book feel as [name]Bellamy[/name]:

[name]Paloma[/name] (g)
[name]Bartram[/name] (b)
[name]Willow[/name] (g)
[name]Briar[/name] (b/g)
[name]Tristan[/name] (b)
[name]Acantha[/name] (g)
Acanthus (b)
[name]Avalon[/name] (b/g)
[name]Acacia[/name] (b/g)
[name]Blair[/name] (b/g)
[name]River[/name] (b/g)
[name]Estelle[/name] (g)
[name]Sawyer[/name] (b)
[name]Brielle[/name] (g)
[name]Delaney[/name] (b/g)
[name]Lilith[/name] (g)
[name]Eden[/name] (g)
[name]Arabella[/name] (g)
[name]Morgana[/name] (g)
[name]Morgan[/name] (b/g)
Abeline (g)
[name]Sterling[/name] (b)
Asphodel (b/g)
[name]Althaia[/name] (g)

Would any of those work?

[name]Elliott[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name]

[name]Romilly[/name] (nn [name]Romy[/name] or [name]Millie[/name])
[name]Willoughby[/name] (nn [name]Willa[/name] or [name]Willow[/name])

No feminine nickname, but you may still like:

[name]Carlin[/name] (well, there’s the [name]Carly[/name] nickname)
[name]Waverly[/name] (well, there’s [name]Avie[/name])

Good luck!

[name]Memphis[/name] (Mem)
[name]Ellington[/name] ([name]Ellie[/name])

[name]Ginger[/name], I really like [name]Paloma[/name]. It wouldn’t be weird because I’m not hispanic would it?

[name]Jill[/name], I really like [name]Connelly[/name]! I’ve always loved the nickname [name]Nell[/name]. I never would have thought of this one by myself. [name]Carlin[/name] is on my list too, but I’m worried the “-lyn” sound at the end is a little trendy…

[name]Tamsin[/name] nn [name]Tansy[/name]

I knew a girl growing up named [name]Lyle[/name]. I think it was short for [name]Carlyle[/name]. I have always thought that was so cute! But my hubby thinks I am nuts

[name]Bellamy[/name] reminds me of [name]Bill[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] so for me that’s not feminine, but I do really like many boys names for girls. DH and I loved [name]Elliott[/name] for a girl but decided against it because we aren’t as fond of [name]Ellie[/name] as a nn.

Here are a few others in addition to [name]Carlyle[/name]/[name]Lyle[/name] and [name]Elliott[/name]:
[name]Lucas[/name] (I do know a girl by this name)
[name]Evan[/name] ([name]Evie[/name])
[name]Spencer[/name] (again I know a girl with this name and she is sooo cute!)
[name]Merrill[/name] (Mer)
[name]Winslow[/name] ([name]Winnie[/name])

I love [name]Willoughby[/name], but it might be a little hard to pull of. When I think of [name]Bellamy[/name], I also think of [name]Romilly[/name], so what do you think of that?

According to my sources [name]Paloma[/name] is used in both English and Spanish speaking countries and it is a nature name so I think you’d be well within reason to use it. Also if you’re a [name]Pablo[/name] [name]Picasso[/name] fan it may interest you to know that [name]Paloma[/name] was the name of his daughter who was the subject in many of his paintings.

I like [name]Bellamy[/name], it reminds of names like [name]Kendall[/name], [name]Delaney[/name], etc. I like Melrose! good suggestion!
