I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Laertes. I love the way it looks and sounds but would never use it as both in Shakespeare and mythology Laertes was not someone you’d name your child after.
I’ve been trying to think of other names that feel similar for a middle name spot.
Whilst they have a similar sound and history, to me Laertes doesn’t feel as out there as Hercules or Achilles.
Anyone have anything else come to mind?

Was [name_m]Laertes[/name_m] so horrible in [name_m]Hamlet[/name_m] and Greek mythology? It’s an incredible name.
Don’t really have any name suggestions, but I think that [name_m]Hercules[/name_m] and [name_m]Achilles[/name_m] are more well known in Greek mythology, while [name_m]Laertes[/name_m] isn’t.
I just discovered Brontes lately, which seems awesome! It means ‘thunderer’ which could be fun.
Helios is another nice one. I love the sun meaning.
Koios is one I’ve been suggesting lately. The sound and meaning are so cool.
I also really like Pyrrhus | Pyrrhos. It would definitely have spelling issues, but as a middle name that wouldn’t be such a big problem.

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thoughts were [name_m]Horatio[/name_m], [name_m]Artemus[/name_m], [name_m]Arcturus[/name_m], [name_m]Xerxes[/name_m], Aeolus. But I’m not too clued up on all the origins.
