I really like [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] on paper: the look, flow, ending, etc. BUT there’s the negative association of The Rape of the [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] Women (which doesn’t actually bother me but I feel like it’s a little unfair to place that on someone), and the fact that the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation is suh-[name_m]BEAN[/name_m]. And when I say it out loud, it’s just so ‘[name_m]Bean[/name_m]’ heavy. [name_f]Sabina[/name_f] does the same thing for me. [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] and [name_f]Sabrine[/name_f] are too witchy for me! Is there anything else you guys could suggest??
[name_f]Severine[/name_f]? I’m pretty sure it comes from the same root as [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f], just different nationalities? That’s really the only thing I can think of.
I love [name_u]Simone[/name_u]! And [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] made me think of [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] which I also had forgotten I liked.
[name_f]Celine[/name_f]/[name_f]Selene[/name_f] maybe? It has much the same sound, but without the “bean” and without the same associations.
[name_f]Sabienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Sable[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabra[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Salome[/name_f]
