I know, I’ve been super repetitive with my Etta posts for a hypothetical future 3rd baby.
I still LOVE Etta, but the name Lettie just reappeared somewhere and then I saw that I actually made a post about it in May 2023 when we first got pregnant with our second, haha!
Just wondering what the general consensus is on Lettie vs Etta, as well as any suggestions of girl names you think have a similar feel.
I think if you have loved etta for so long you might regret not using it. Theyre both lovely names!
Some names that you can use as a nn for either
[name_f]Loretta[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
Giulietta/ [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
I’m not a huge [name_f]Etta[/name_f] fan, personally, so I like [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] more, but for similar names, I also love [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Ebba[/name_f], and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]! I do know Ella’s ridiculously popular; I still love her though haha.
[name_f]Lettie[/name_f] would be my choice, I think I’d personally go with a name that could be shortened to either [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] or [name_f]Etta[/name_f], Colette/Coletta for example.
Some similar names:
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sally[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Martha[/name_f]
[name_f]Penny[/name_f]
[name_f]Eden[/name_f]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f]
Good point about [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. I always want to love [name_f]Colette[/name_f], but for some reason it reminds me the laxative Colace. [name_f]Eden[/name_f] has been on my mind lately!
[name_f]Lottie[/name_f] has been a long time love of mine and also [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]. Loddie is a similar sound short for [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].
[name_f]Ayelet[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Violetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Letitia[/name_f] or [name_f]Laetitia[/name_f]
[name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] or [name_f]Nicoletta[/name_f]
[name_f]Arlet[/name_f] or [name_f]Arlette[/name_f]
