Names that are good human names but aren't good pet names

It’s fine for a human, but imagine this scenario: “Look Grandma, this is my tarantula Craig. Say hi, Craig! No Craig! Stop! AUGHHHH CRAIG’S ON ME!"

I think you know a cultural reference to [name_m]Craig[/name_m] that I don’t?

What do you mean?

Well, it just seemed like [name_m]Craig[/name_m] might be synonymous with something bad? Otherwise I just think of it as a regular old name. The dogs I know all have regular people names (though I don’t know any tarantulas).

I like Plautilla a lot. It’s a bit too unwieldy for human use, but I would like a pet turtle just so I can name her Plautilla.

I actually like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], it’s on my puppy name list, lol

I know a dog named [name_u]Clyde[/name_u] who rocks it!
I think all human names work on pets, but not all pet names work on humans.
“Hi everyone! This is my son Fido!”
Although as much as Fido is supposed to be common, still never met a dog named Fido.
